Thanks, kay_dee! I'll definitely look into that pattern. The only thing holding me back is the price, as I'm on a pretty tight budget right now. Of course, the BDU costs more... Do you know, off hand, about how much fabric the jacket takes with that pattern?

Ok, I finished my vest. It is not film-accurate, nor do I need it to be. I figure, I don't look like Harrison, so I don't need a perfect costume. Besides, I'm not likely to join RL or DST, and I'll probably create my own custom persona anyway. With that in mind, I intentionally left the flap off of the right breast pocket. I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out. Here are some pics:

I'm also looking for a pattern to use for the ESB shirt, I've been looking a little but have yet to find anything, so I'd love to hear what others used.

Bumping the thread up, I'm also looking for a pattern for an ESB Han, though I'm planning on using it to make the black shirt for Ceremonial Luke...

I hadn't found any suggestions for pants patterns that include the curved seam in the seat. This is evidently a common thing in pants for horse riding, so I spent a good while looking at sewing patterns for equestrians! I found a men's western pattern that seems like it could work really well:

    http://www.buckaroobobbins.com/index_files/Page376.htm

It's the first on the page; the britches. Obviously you'd need to modify the back waistband and add belt loops, but it seems like it would be really useful for Han's pants! The high rise in the front and slim cut seem perfect, and it looks like it would work really well in denim! Many other breeches patterns I saw are intended for stretch fabrics, and I couldn't find any other men's patterns that included the "full seat" detail in the back (I only found it for women).

You might also be able to find similar patterns if you search for "civil war cavalry pants."
