I've questions for those who've played... well were listed to anyway.

Is the 'if you guess right you continue until guessing wrong' ok or would you like to see a limit of guesses (I'm thinking 3) in order to allow more play? Hmmm, though 3 right guesses could give it away and then the one who gave them is out of luck. Though if they give three correct and are allowed at guess at the phrase before moving on to the next player could solve that issue.

If it's an issue at all.

I could also use longer phrases, though that doesn't mean more play in reality.

I also think I will check on the phrases I use as I suddenly thought that some may not be as common to our non Americans players.

 

I thought I may be over thinking it.

 

That's a thought for the future. It would depend on the interest in playing. If lots than shorter games would work better. If less, than 3 rounds games might work better.

 

While that sounds intriguing, this game will always be biased to the first couple players because there are certain letters that are used more often, that's simply the nature of the game. I'm not comfortable with players being able to circumvent another's turn, but if that's what the players decide, then fine.

What do other's think of this idea?

Once we have a list of players, I can pull names so the order is random and not per sign up which would make users not want to sign up after seeing a couple names.

 

What about the idea of pming a one time guess even if it's not your turn?

 

I enjoyed it as is. First up is always going to get the vowels in though.

 

Sounds like most are fine with guessing until you miss.

As to pming a guess out of turn not enough people like this, nor do I like it at all, so I'm good with not doing this. At least at this time.

 

Okay it's Saturday and time for a new Hangman game. Anyone want to play, just sign up. Once we have 5-6 I will take the names and pull them out of a hat or maybe my Tardis cookie jar and randomize the order of players. You're playing for a weeks worth of colors. Just running out for a bit now and will be back.
