well im using a range. basically whatever looks right. but it has to look like its been worn alot but has a certain respectability to it. it can be any colour. Why do you want to know that? are you going to make your own?

 

For myself, no, I am making one now for a commission. I use wool for the robes and if I can't get Indian Homespun for everything else, normally a cotton guaze is a good replacement. I was lucky enough to see the jedi costumes in person at CIII.


For this guy here <-, I am using 3 different fabrics, I'm using a wonderful crepe backed satin for the cowl, wool for the cape and a really awesome cotton knit, very knotty looking for the rest.

what people dont seem to understand is even if they use the correct materials you dont neccessarily get a good looking costume!

 

Say what!?! The only way to screw up using the same stuff that is used in the movie is if your screwing it up, which is quite possible of course.

I just got the mask off of ebay, I was going to make it myself, but this saved me about a week's worth of work and I got a deal on a Darth Revan mask as well for my good friend. I'm also trying to make a custom EL or LED lightsaber for Nihilus as well.


Once it's done I can post pics if anyone wants to see it.

Being part of the Acolytes of Revan, I have seen a number of people attempt to make Revan costumes. And being a fan of KOTOR, it would be cool to see what people come up with

God there are so many costumes I want to do NOW but I'm having to wait for the money.

Started collecting pieces for SG1 get up, quite fancy a BSG uniform, my first ever made costumes now look crap so I want to re do those and that bail Organa aide on Tantive IV needs to be done as does the orange. Honestly at teh min I wouldnt mind paying a resonable price to get some done

 

Do you have an army surplus near you? in not then give me a list and i can get stuff from mine!

does anyone have any ideas for a star wars costume for formal occations - not imperial! e.g. star trek has special uniforms

DAve are you on about army Surplus for the SG1 kit, because British army kit is no good.

And if you want to do formal, you cant go wrong with the rogue dress Uniform

Have you got the X wing books Comics ? THeres a description in the books and there are depictions in the comics, but they do vary, so its open to interpretation
