Almost certainly one. I cannot see it being split into two. There just isn't enough suspense in the middle act to break it up.

    OotP has more words then the new testament and they're planning to put that in one movie 8-}

    Oh I see. Well I'd rather them make one movie and just shorten the book up. Making two movies will take time away from the overall project of making all 7 movies.

    Cho Chang actress to return for OotP. [link=http://www.mugglenet.com/viewer/?image_location=katie_fanletter.jpg]Letter she wrote a fan[/link].

    It looks like we're getting the same people to play the same roles. Hopefully that lasts through all seven movies.

    I agree that two movies is a bad idea. Also, it would (to me at least) scream that their script guy isn't confident enough in his decisions.

    i can't see this being a 2 parter either. more than likely it'll be the same length as GOF and hopefully a little longer maybe[face_praying]

    I don't know why people assume it would be two movies and not just one giant one that is shown in two parts. They don't have to film and direct it as two movies.

    I used to think the same thing, but in fact it does end up turning into making two films.

    Even if you direct and shoot two movies simultaneously, you still finish them separately, giving priority to the first film in terms of FX, editing, etc, and having to move immediately to the second when the first is released.

    At any rate, much like Goblet of Fire, and as has already been said, the story lacks enough tension in the middle section to create a solid cliffhanger and make either film a satisfying movie in their own right. I think Order of the Phoenix could easily be condensed into two and a half hours of solid storytelling.

    Mr. Harris looks almost exactly like I imagined Shacklebolt... which is good.

    Yikes, I must've missed reading where Shaklebolt's supposed to be black :oops:

    Oh well, it's nice seeing a well rounded cast for the films.

    The lady they picked for Umbridge is PERFECT. I thought that when I first saw her picture a couple of months ago.

    I think it would be cool for Bary Crouch Jr. to replace Bellatrix. Bellatrix isn't really that important. It doesn't matter that Sirius dies just that he does unlike in HBP when Dumbledore dies its important that Snape kills him
