Edmonton Harry Potter

I've just heard the movies coming out a day or two early? lol my supervisor wants to know if i want a different day off to go see this, thoughts? should we still go friday or earlier if its out earlier?

its opening the 11th here now instead of the 13th.

 

I thought Harry Potter's birthday was July 13... I thought that is why they made it that release date...

but yes lets go opening night... whenever it may be!!!

 

A group of friends and I are heading to it opening day. In costume! I went last year and it was darling seeing all the kids swarm around us asking if we were really from Hogwarts.

That's correct, Jenisteen. I work at Chinook theatre in Calgary, and we have an IMAX theatre. The last 30 mins of the film (in IMAX only) will be in 3-D!!! Can't wait to see it!!

eeek harry potter tickets go on sale wednesday put the regular showings start only on friday the 13th only the imax showings start the 11 and 12. do we still wanna go wednesday and go see it in imax instead? uggg not sure if i can still switch my evening off back to friday, can try.

 

when ever you want to go Liann.... opening day at the IMAX is fine.
if you can't get Friday off, Wednesday is cool.

Hey ladies,

so i purchased 4 tickets for myself, Liann, Angela and Shanna.

cause I got them online they added a $1 charge for each ticket. so each ticket comes to $16.

if anyone else would like to come I can just login to my Cineplex account and add another ticket... up to 8 tickets per account can be made.

Well, I talked to Faye and Rita. We're sticking to the original plan simply cause Imax makes us all either sick or frustrated at trying to see the whole screen. We haven't picked a showtime yet but if anyone wants to come with us they're more than welcome.

 

Looks like Downtown and Clairview are having a midnight show on the 10th. So much for silver city being on the ball. They're just pushing the stupid IMAX. Man are they going to loose buissness if every other theatre in the city is playing it on regular screens for two full days plus the midnight, before them. Now I'm pissed that I have tickets for Friday.
