    Black pudding is delicious. I like to cook it by the slice on a George Foreman grill. White pudding is great as well (no blood in that).

    Admittedly my state’s signature dish is tossing everything in the pantry that you would never actually want to eat into a casserole pan and then pretending it tastes good so I don’t have a ton of room to crack wise.

    Hotdish is the absolute worst, can we please cancel that?

    Flip a coin on that for me, actually.

    Heads: it’s delicious fried scampi with great sauce, excellent fries, a great hard cider, all delivered on time in a nice pub.

    Tails: it’s a half-inedible fish stick because the bottom half is too tough to cut through even with a knife, cold fries, and long after the soda pop has been drank since it took 45 minutes to get made when there were only 6 customers at the cafe.

    Somehow-landed-on-it’s-side: it’s a highly rated fish and chips join on Trip Advisor… but it’s just bland.

    That is basically the one exception to the “English food is bad” thing. I love English breakfasts; they’re good enough too make me excited to wake up!

    Contrasted with my family unwisely not packing a breakfast while in Normandy, leading to three days of delicious but late Quiche Lorraine brunches.
