Do you appear in the costume very much in this film?

Not a lot, I have to be honest. I’ve done a few bits and pieces though. I think a lot of it is footage he’s already got of me in the robot from when we shot Attack Of The Clones and The Phantom Menace. My R2-D2 has got a definite movement to it – I can bend it forwards and backwards quite quickly and wobble it from side to side and say yes and no but there’s not a lot else I can do with it. Instead of dragging me back to the studios, if they need additional shots, they just do it digitally to save on paying my air fare.

 

@Iron_lord , Thx, im not a fan of the cgi R2, was trying to figure out if the beginning battle in the hanger when Obi and Anakin crash there ship, if that was a real r2/KB or cgi!?

 

Probably both - with scenes of R2's head moving back and forth being Kenny, and more dramatic scenes being CGI.

KOTOR SPOILER ALERT:


In my opinion the krayt dragon died pretty easily (in KOTOR). A seceral mine blew that thing. At first i thought wtf those tiny mines arent gonna kill a huge beast and there will be some kind of a boss battle. I was wrong. Does anyone know what type of mines were that?

 

Why do characters sign their names in real world English instead of aurebesh? On many wookiepedia pages you will find characters' signatures in English.

 

In-universe it's explained that it's sort of a different type of alphabet used for fancier situations or somesuch

Frag mines. Those are the only ones with that animation

Cut content shows that it was indeed meant to be a fightable boss; the mines would only weaken it, but for whatever reason, they scrapped that idea. I believe the Krayt Dragon has some attack animations too

 

Hmm, sounds like laziness to me.
I guess they decided that Obi-Wan deactivating that tractor bean wasn't very fancy of him so they changed it to aurebesh for the special edition
