Well our AC is fixed now. The steak sacrifices must have worked. Either that or the the AC god was tired of seeing me walk around in my undies. I have this thing set so cold I almost need a blankie :)

You know I almost thought about getting one of those pools, but the dog would just eat it again, and I'm never here to enjoy it.

Not unless you want my old, blind Boston Terrier tearing your butt up. LOL! [face_laugh]

I like my butt in mint condition, thanks.

We still can't drink tap water here, which is a pain. But we got a lot of bottled water today, so it should last until this is resolved.

Seriously though, if anyone wants to come jump in the pool I am home during the day and after 11pm most nights. PM me, I don't mind and the kids love guests!!! :D
The boston terrier (Bruiser) won't bite if we let you in. He is a good watch dog.

I'll say one thing, this heat is making me cranky. They stuck us in the hottest room last night for my first class, and I could do is snark at all the dumb questions being asked. :D I ended up going home early with a headache. The heat sure has cut down on my shopping... ;)

Not that I know of, I think I'm just going to go to work so I can be really hot outside instead of inside.

Amy, that's so funny. I was just going to ask him if he was going to be sitting around in his underwear. LOL!
Looks like it is going to rain today though, maybe it will cool things off.

    Do you hear that?

That's the sound of my air conditioner *not* running for the first time in, like, 2 weeks! [face_dancing] How beautiful is that! [face_dancing] Thank God for breaks in heat waves! [face_dancing]

I don't know if any of you guys work outside, but if you do - you truly have my sympathy today.

I'm only outside for short streches at a time and even just doing that I've got a serious case of swamp ass today!

Just thought I'd share - 'cause I care

Just thought I'd add to Tims comment, I'm outside for 5 straight hours, most of that time is spent sitting on the black leather seat of my forklift.

:_| I agree the heat over this summer was kinda unbarable at times. One of my jobs has me standing for more than 9 hours at a time in long jeans, a long sleeve shirt and black boots. I long for the colder temps so I can relax at home and worry about school. [face_whistling]

I agree, I think teh Heat is done for now, because it seems to be getting quite nippy at night. I am kinda glad that it won't be so hot any more. Bring on the snow!! :D

I knew this thread would be upped when I got back to StL today, I just knew it!

It's just been too nice a day. I LOVE the breaking of the heat; Oct is may favorite month. We're almost there!
Everyone always says that because of where I grew up, I must 'love the heat'. On the contrary, the charm of heat and humidity are long lost on me. Genetics trumps upbringing; bring me cool and overcast over pounding heat anyday.

While cool and overcast are an improvement, I prefer downright cold.
