Here's something for @heels1785 to fret over, as it's both io9 and pop-culture (which he sucks at)... so how would you vote?

    Some notes:

    1) The bracket is terrible.
    2) Some things are missing (Interstellar chiefly among them).
    3) If I hadn't seen a film, I didn't vote for it -- this leads to some oddities in my own bracket.

    What say you?

Here's my "Watch The World Burn" bracket, carefully defined to maximize the amount of online anger:

Yeah, I'm not a huge Scott Pilgrim fan but I voted for it out of spite for WTF Skyfall was doing in there.

The clear winner is the disgusting fish sex movie, followed closely by the one about the Canadian kid who cheats on his underage girlfriend.

Runners up: "eating cockroaches on a train" and "Joaquin Phoenix has phone sex with Siri"

Ex Machina/Annihilation in the finals and then flip a coin.

Well whatever wins, we can rest comfortably knowing that there will be an endless cavalcade of YouTube rebuttals. Presumably with titles like "I review the io9 sci-fi movies battle outcome" and like a shocked face looking at a poster of Midnight in Paris or whatever for a thumbnail.

The only one in the series it's better than is Prisoner of Azkaban. ;)

I loved Prisoner of Azkaban. But it doesn’t matter. The books are better than the movies. It’s only a matter of how much better the books are, somewhere between “a little better” (Sorceror’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire) and “a hell of a lot better” (the last four, which didn’t even try to follow the books).

The answer to the bracket is somewhere between Rogue One, Black Panther and Captain America: Winter Soldier.

That ends up being similar to my bracket, somewhat.

I know they've got some odd choices but they're trying to pick the best SFF movie.

I actually really liked it, but FB2 was pretty... not good... so unsure if this tanked the first one.
