You could probably just throw some mousse in it, run your hands through it a couple of times, and go.

 

That sounds amazing. I used to use mousse so that's not a problem.

 

If your hair grows fast keeping the short bit short might be an issue. You'd probably hate to be spending a ton of money at a hairdressers.

 

Nah... a mohawk would be cheap for upkeep... just a buzz and a trim, whenever necessary

 

Sometimes places that cater to guys are cheaper. If you’re just doing clippers and then a long bit on top that’s all one length, you don’t need someone who specializes in layers, etc.

 

Yeah, a barbershop would be cheaper than a salon, and they'd be able to keep your hear looking good.

 

Oh my salon is super cheap. She charges like $25 for a haircut because she's known me for 30 years. We're basically family and she's the only one who cuts my hair. So I'm actually not that worried about the upkeep costs.

I made possibly a mistake my telling my mom I am gonna cut my hair. I say maybe a mistake because she of course was looking for sorta feminine short haircuts... so she may be a little shocked at what I actually pick Although there are plenty of straight cis women with mohawks, rockstars and whatnot.

 

it'll be shocking to her at first, but she'll get over it.

 

... except tattoo the sideburns on, instead.

I might consider something with buzzed sides like a mohawk if I like this. But that seems a bit much maybe for my first ever short haircut. I am a chicken.

 

If I could do this I would.

 

I like it when people change their hair styles. Makes them different. I'm also jealous, because I wish I could. My hair's thinning out rapidly. I don't really know what to do with it. Out of options.
