Which would be somewhat fitting given that Ronan and Korath were also in Guardians and now in Captain Marvel. One thing's for sure, she won't try to distract them with a dance off.

 

Maybe she does, and that's why Ronan gets so enraged seeing Peter Quill doing it later.

 

I actually had the Kree and the Skrulls mixed up here; it's the Kree that are genetically stagnant. That's why they do a lot of genetic experimentation on other races.

 

Both races are stagnant, iirc.

The trailer tomorrow is supposed to be a full one, not a teaser.

 

OMG IT'S SO GOOD...

 

I stayed up late (1am) just to see this trailer. It’s not what I expected, but I’m happy with what I saw. This film is gonna be one of Marvel’s best.

 

I thought it was fine. It sparked questions, which is good. But Larson's line delivery was flat across the board, which is both disappointing and concerning. I wonder if that is why SLJ's voice over was so prominent in it?

 

We had the opposite reaction here...

 

With the next trailer, I was more than one millisecond of Mar-Vell, Ronan and Coulson, thanks.

 

Looks awesome to me.

I guess if you don’t know anything about the character, maybe the trailer doesn’t really give a good idea of what the character or story will be about, but it’s only the first trailer.

 

I liked it. I thought it was intriguing. What’s up with the memory loss? She doesn’t know she’s human? I don’t know much/anything about the character but that bit made me curious to see her story.

There are a couple cool shots that I dug. I liked her looking out at the alien city. Loved her in the fighter jet. Also, blockbuster. Lol

I agree with the above that it was a pretty weak trailer. It also gave me Green Lantern vibes and that's definitely not a good thing.

 

Rather than tell her origin story, this is the story of her finding out her origin story.

 

That’s a different spin on an origin story. It has more interesting implications than watching for the 5,000th time an average Joe (or Jane) encounter a thing that makes her able to do a thing and she has to adjust to the thing. I was kind of getting a female Star Lord vibe, because she’s human and something happens, like an abduction? that causes her to spend her life out in the stars, rendering her unfamiliar with Earth.

She sure didn’t talk much in the trailer. Almost reminds me of the first Solo teaser in that regard.
