It looks to me like the Kree are running some sort of Janissary-type unit, made up of soldiers from other planets who have been converted to fight for the Kree empire.

 

Half-human. The EW articles let that out of the bag. That doesn't diminish the Star Lord comparison though.

 

Yeah for a first trailer, I’m perfectly ok with it not giving a lot of story outline. It looks awesome and I’m looking forward to it a lot.

 

Marvel is pretty cocky thinking they got a Blockbuster on their hands here.

Yeah. That hair. It would be nice there was a cameo by Agent May, so help with their backstory and romantic relationship in Agents of SHIELD.

 

That would be great to see May in some of the films. I’m actually surprised it hasn’t happened yet.

Are the Marvel Netflix shows considered part of the MTU because yeah they don't exist cause they boring.

True, but max boredum for the movies caps at 2.5 hours or less. One season of a Marvel Netflix show is 13 boring hours. I only got through 4 hours/episodes of Luke Cage before bowing out. After the disappointment that was The Defenders, I'm officially done with the MTU.

 

So, I saw the trailer a couple of times and like The Return of Mary Poppins trailer, was underwhelmed. Mostly because I had so many ideals and expectations running through my head based off of the concept art revealed as SDCC a year ago. Moreover, Captain Marvel is Marvel's answer to Wonder Woman, so there was that factor seeded in my brain, which created an even higher level of anticipation. So there was a definite build up of anticipation. Additionally, the trailers for Black Panther and Infinity War we so good.

I was getting alot of Tomorrowland vibes from this Captain Marvel trailer.

 

Oh, for sure some of the defenders stuff is boring. Though I really like the Luke Cage and Jessica Jones shows.

I was more referring to agents of shield. Some of which is also boring. But some of the characters like Coulson and May are fantastic. Coulson has been in several films, I’m just surprised May hasn’t also.

 

Yeah I watched 2 episodes of Agents of Shield and couldn't get into it. If you enjoy it, great, as it feels like the shows take into account what is happening the in the movies, but it isn't reciprocal.

 

I like Brie in the role and it is always great to see Sam Jackson’s Nick Fury (excellent dialog for him), but I can wait to rent, if that.

I am sure I will enjoy Carol Danvers in A4, but this side of MCU cosmic does not call to me.
