I remember it, though I haven't seen it in twenty years or so. It was very cheesy. I felt a little sorry for great British character actor John Mills being stuck in it.

They did say their version of Mordo wasn't the utterly evil guy he's in the comics. Maybe something closer to Ian McNee, perhaps?

Wow. What a time we live in.
Simply put. Yes. I hope this is good and changes up the usual superhero malarcky.

Nice photos, think I'm finally warming up to the Cumberbun as Stephen, just need to see him perform as Stephen.

I'm all for Stephen and Mordo teaming up too.

The pictures bring a sense of relief to me, because I feel I'm seeing Stephen Strange and not Bendover Crumblestop.

In a larger pic there are 2 guys in red running with them. I see Mordo and the guy in yellow are dressed the same so if it's not Wong perhaps some minion of Mordo? No, I don't think it's Wong.

    Interesting...

I'm concerned with the degree to which they're apparently deviating from the comic's origin story, but...

    Interesting...

I've said before that I would love an adaptation of the Silver Dagger story arc. His confontation with Death would dovetail nicely with Thanos's obsession with her.

This still totally looks like a Eurovision Song Contest dance routine.
If you look at what Strange is wearing you'll see they're all wearing the same style, just in different colours; Strange's cloak and amulet just disguise how similar his robes are to the other two. I would guess they are all disciples of the Ancient One, with Strange outranking the others.

There's a behind the scenes gif of that. They are apparently about to take flight. They are running, then they do that, then they jump and of course land and stop.

Literally taking flight? If all three can fly, does this mean that the Doc's Cloak of Levitation is just a fashion-statement in this adaptation?

Yes, I mean it's a behind the scenes thing so they don't actually takeoff but it's obvious that's what they were about to do. let me see if I can find it.

    EDIT: Found it. Video instead.

I've shopped there. It's in the Empire State Building's bottom. Good store, and I loved that story.

The fact that he's taking it somewhat seriously, i.e., looking to the comics is always a good thing. That's the thing that I've loved about the last sixteen years is that the actors will take a look at the source material, so that they have a general idea of what to look for. And like with Hugh Jackman lobbying for the first Wolverine OGN to be adapted, we could get key elements coming into future films.

So we could have a puking Doctor Strange if he picks up the recent run?

I'm not completely well versed in Doctor Strange, as most of what I have is from his interactions with the Hulk, when he reunited the temporary Fantastic Four and the "DC Vs Marvel" series, but couldn't use his magic to help others levitate?

Well, not that. But stuff like the other variations of Doc Strange like with the "Midnight Sons" era from the 90's. Or what he did in "World War Hulk".

I've been told not to confuse Dr. Strange with Mandrake the Magician, so I'm determined not to do that.

    It's not easy.
