Census How do you celebrate Halloween?

I mostly pass out candy.

 

The main thing I usually do is watch some appropriately Halloween-y movie. The Mummy, at the moment.

 

I watch scary movies.

 

I don't celebrate Halloween very much. If I do do something, it's pigging out on candy and watching scary movies.

 

I trick-or-treat with the kids. I have been planning on decorating the house, then dressing up and handing out candy. Probably won't do that until my kids are old enough to go out on their own though.

 

I go all out -- costume: pass out candy, go trick-or-treating, etc. (5 votes)
And I scare kids on my porch.

 

Other: by not celebrating it. Seems rather pointless, to me.

 

My friend and I go over to one or the others home to eat dinner, watch a film, and stay the night.

 

Party for a whole week. Heck, I celebrate Halloween practically the entire month of Oct.

 

Me and my friends usually rent scary movies and have a sleep-over. It's tons of fun.

 

I go to a party or two, but I don't put that much effort into my costume.

 

Pass out candy. A lot of kids come through the neighborhood.

 

No Halloween here, which pretty much sucks.

As a kid, we went trick-or-treating and it was great. I dresse up as a Jedi last and that was 14 years ago. Then we moved off base and blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...no more Halloween. *sighs*

 

It depends. This year I'm carving a pumpkin and passing out candy, and may watch a scary move or something with some friends at my house. Last year I did nothing. At times I might go to a party, or dress up. If I have a costume I might go trick-or-treating, but I haven't been able to for the past several years.

 

I eat the candy. I mean, pass out the candy.

 

I see it as an opportunity where the rest of the world acts like drama students. And then I don't feel so ostracized anymore.

 

I don't do anything on Halloween except do homework. And, I don't have a costume to wear that fits me anymore.

 

A religious holiday?

 

I have seen some kids on the streets but I am not doing anything myself.

 

I go all out when my finances allow. Costume that I usually make myself (and is usually restrictive and hot and heavy), candy, go out wandering the town... end the night dehydrated, exhausted, and then get a nasty cold from the funk that collected in my costume head.

Word to the wise: Lysol the inside of your costume head. Helps to kill the gunk that collects and you won't end up sick after wearing it and rebreathing all that crud.

 

Good advice...though maybe you need makeup instead of a costume head...
