How do you get gum out of your hair?

Well? How? I tried picking at it, but I just ended up having my hand stuck to my head.

 

Lobot doesn't have hair. If you don't already look like him, then do what he did when he had gum in his hair.

 

That is not an option I'm willing to consider.

 

There's always the famous scissors method. Some people will suggest mayonaisse, then sit in the sun for a while to let it soak in and really get absorbed in the gum, but that's an old wive's tale, much like freezing it and then breaking it off with a hammer which not only doesn't work, it is potentially dangerous to the hammer (don't want to get sticky gum on a good hammer). A variety of indonesian natives suggest not using bones to pick it out, though lathering your head in a thick honey-substance (usually not honey which is rather peculiar, but a sweat and mango compound that when mixed, becomes incredibly viscious, hence the numerous deaths each year to improper mago consumption) is just as foolish despite what they tell you. Personally, I always get a couple of things of lipsitck and just make myself look beautiful before I head out to the barber to have my head shaved off (that's right, head, not hair) because really, isn't that where all the problems stem from, that ignoble bulb that stems from your thin, pasty necks that have cricks in them from leaning over your keyboard to make sure you got all those markup codes correct.

 

ummm... I heard peanut butter works... but I haven't had the "gum-in-hair-problem" for years, so I don't know if it works personally.

 

Better yet, how do you get a venus fly trap out of your toilet?

3.It will eat the gum.

Step 1: Grab the offending chunks of hair and the gum
Step 2: Pull. Hard.
Step 3: Show off your new 'doo!

The two remedies I found are:

"When chewing gum becomes stuck in hair the best method of removal is to delicately massage peanut butter into the gum until it comes free. TADA! Either smooth or chunky will do, but stay clear of the kind with jelly in it. Not that it won't work, it's just plain gross. Oh yes, you may want to shampoo once or twice afterwards or get really inquisitive looks from strangers."

and

"Fill a plastic bag with ice. Wrap a small towel around the bag so you can hold it for a long period without freezing your hand. Wrap the bag of ice around the gum. Hold it there for 20 minutes. You want to freeze the gum so that it cracks off. Chip gum off slowly, do not yank at it. If it starts to stretch or becomes sticky again, reapply the ice. If you are unable to get all of the gum off, repeat the process."


The second one sounds a bit iffy so I'd go with the peanut butter if I were you...

peanut butter It works I have had to use it my self once to get gum out of my hair.

 

I've never heard of the peanut butter one.....except on the Simpsons whan Lisa gets the gum in her hair and Marge puts mayonnaise and peanut butter and whatever else on it. ?

I've always thought that ice would freeze it solid so it lost it's stickiness and you could sorta crumble it out?

I dunno but good luck with that whole.....thing.

Depends on how bad it is. I had hair stuck in my head in the 7th grade. I just cut it out and was done with it. To hell with how it looks.
