How would you rate 'The Empire Strikes Back' (10 being highest)

7.16! The further away from a production that Lucas is, the more I find myself able to enjoy it! I just wish that they had gone with Ralph McQuarrie's original design for Yoda, which was a bearded gnome! Now that would have been awe-some! Another of the movie's flaws is that Luke's wailing and carrying on gets to be tiresome after a while - the way he bawls when learning that Darth Vader is his father "screams" of absurdity! I mean, grow up, farmboy! Also, Darth Vader isn't menacing enough in this film - he should have been nastier, more intense! Oh well, it's a good movie. I'm just glad that Georgie stayed in his office!

It's a sequel that expands the scope of the original while adding more depth to it's characters. Plus it delves into darker territory. One of those rare sequels (along with Aliens, T2, Godfather II) that's superior to the original.

Best movie of all.

 

I voted it a 10. It is one of my favorite movies, and IMO is clearly the best film of the entire SW saga. I compair all SW films to it.

Not only is ESB my favorite Star Wars film, it's my favorite movie over all.

8, this has always been my least favorite SW film.

 

I give it a 10, best acted, best written, best all around of the entire Saga in my book. Excellent excellent movie.
