Plenty of peeps here know HTML... including myself. So what needs to be done? Or would you prefer somewhere to learn it and do it yourself? :)

It depends what you need to do in your section, Jeannette.

WebMonkey is a goodun... alternatively pop down to the library and see if they have a copy of something like "An Idiots Guide to HTML 4/5/6..." or something like that. That's basically how I started and learnt.

Another good web resource is All HTML

Alternatively, drop me an email at work and I'll see what I can do to help! :)

EDIT: Ahh... you have DreamWeaver... that makes it a little different... tell me what needs to be on there and I can suggest the appropriate method.

Dreamweaver is a walk in the park....

It's designed for idiots like myself to put things on the web...

No offence, but that is the dumbest statement I've ever heard... I'd like to know what your brother uses

Jeannette, go here for a Dreamweaver tutorial.

Well most of the creative sites out there use Dreamweaver and Flash...

What's you brother use Mayhem....Front Page?

If only you'd asked after next Wednesday - I'm off on an official HTML training course...

But it's NOT difficult and I did learn unofficially from an idiots guide to HTML in our staff collection.

My brother personally doesn't use ANY package... he codes in raw HTML off the bat. Sounds mad? That's what I do too. Really up to the individual to use what they feel most comfortable with.

Not saying Frontpage/Dreamweaver aren't useful... but many professional companies don't touch them with a barge pole (from what I've heard)...

ED: Flash is used (of course)... you can't get away from that really...

Well...coding is fine and dandy...but most coder's know bugger all about design and asthetics and most html only site's are quite rubbish..it's got to look pretty...no?

Get over youself, man! Take a look in any vacancy bulletin for web designers and experience with Dreamweaver is the most common and generally first attribute they ask for.

Any company that wants a quick turnaround in work and something that doesn't look like a bunch of toss use Dreamweaver. I used to raw code and it takes far too long in comparison and you can do so much more using Dreamweaver and much quicker.

However, I would like to distance FrontPage and Dreamweaver... Frontpage is absolute cack

limited doesn't describe it... £100 for that is a rip-off... with FrontPage it is quicker to hand-code...

ED: Most professional companies I know wouldn't touch Flash with a ten foot weener...

As my brother did a degree in Design, I think he's qualified enough to make it look good also ;)

Okay fair dues... I've tried both Frontpage and Dreamweaver myself, and found the latter to be far better and more flexible.

Hmmm... I'll try looking up some sites he's done and see what you think...

Dreamweaver is like the industry standard, I dont know which companies you are going on about Mayhem, but it must be ones that get thier software free. Any sensible company will use DW, Im with Sam look at the Vacancies, If you dont know DW, you aint got a job, it simple as that.

LV- Do you still need help?
