    Very simple.

One of the best aspects (well, IMO) of the actual SW novels is the humor that there is sometimes in otherwise very serious situations (example : The scene in the X-WINGs ending by ''It's a felony to use an Ewok as an swimsuit...)

In my own fic (which is certainly light. It's maybe even a bit dramatic...) I thought to the following thing. One of ''my'' (original characters), a female Imperial, decide to avenge herself in a creative way from Admiral Isoto (Isoto is not an original character...he was in the X-Wings comics)

She buy for him-and send home, where his wife is, a crate stacked of datacards filled to the top with Hapese pornography, with the quite obvious intention of pretending that Isoto bought them...

(Note : Since Hapes is female-lead, it's a kind of logic idea that the content of their morally dubious movies is a bit different than on Earth...which is exactly why Myra-the character-done that. Mrs Isoto can accept, more or less, to be cheated...but not THAT thing...)

Is this funny ? (I'm bad for humor..)

If it's written well, I'd say so. It seems like a Janson type prank...

But it depends on how you write it more than just the gag

Humour in serious fics works best, I think, if you don't draw too much attention to it. As in, not pointing it out and making it so obvious that the reader thinks, "OK, it's supposed to be funny, I get the point."

Irony works well, methinks, as does sarcastic dialogue (if, of course, it's in the nature of the character)... But you should just be wary of totally disrupting the flow of the fic, y'know?
