Just to let anyone who's interested know, the Huntsville Symphony will do a concert of all John Williams music on Dec. 31st, 2002. Here's a link for more info. I'm sure several Star Wars tracks will be played.

I'd love to have the 501st troop in during the imperial march!!, but being new years eve, I would think everyone would have plans for that night already......oh well.

I went to the concert. No SW music was even mentioned. They played several new arrangement for orchestra--arranged by Williams himself. Pieces included excerpts from The Patriot, Schindler's List, Far and Away, and Harry Potter. They also played the the Olympic Fanfare and ended the show with Raider's March.

Thanks for the info xsithhappens, I ended up not being able to go. I'm surprised that they didn't play something from SW. Last year at the "Space Spectacular concert" they played the main Star Wars theme and I think they played part of "Han and Leia" from ESB.
I still would've liked to have gone but would've thought they would've played some SW music. Bummer.

It was still a fantastic concert. Although, as a horn player in the Shoals Symphony Orchestra, I could tell that the brass section was really tired by the end of it. I cringed every time they cracked a note.

I went and sat in the vary back row of the balcony, but still really enjoyed it. It was great stuff.
