I hate Dexter. All seasons.
And I find House of Cards overrated.

 

why would you watch all the seasons if you hated it? i liked the first few seasons, but i still bailed after season 6.

i like john lennon, but he was a complicated and conflicted person. he struggled with bouts of anger and depression as well as addiction. he definitely had pretentious phases as well, but for the most part out of him and paul his music was usually the most grounded and honest. i think though that he had grown up a lot by the time his life was cut short. his last interviews are very down to earth and he lived most of his final years out of the spotlight as basically a stay at home dad. but he did a lot of things in his life that are pretty hard to defend, so i'm not going to argue with someone who says they don't like him.

 

The Mona Lisa is the most overrated, befuddling piece of art that's ever been created & fussed over. What the hell do people see in it?

 

Twilight is just everyone's go-to hate reference. It's a common point of reference. Yeah, there are other things that are also bad (Star Wars, esp PT and ST), but hating Twilight is just part of our language. It's a great unifier, bringing people of all backgrounds together. Maybe instead of standing for the flag, we should all stand for hating Twilight.

I haven't seen it, so I wouldn't know how bad it is or use it as my go-to hate reference, but I still understand the phenomenon of hating Twilight.

I hit play, saw it was 19 minutes, and immediately hit pause. I've never watched any of the RLM Star Wars reviews, or any video reviews really, so I'm not watching that.

I don't know anything about The Beatles. I've pretty much never given them a real listen. Every time I try, I quit pretty quickly because I just don't enjoy any of their songs. I honestly don't really know/remember any of their songs. I know they did a cover of Twist and Shout. The only other song of theirs that I can even name is "I Want To Hold Your Hand", and I don't really know any of the lyrics.

 

I don't think Fawlty Towers is the best sit-com ever .

Fair point. Indeed I didn't. I just watched enough episodes to realize that I would hate the whole tv series and I dropped it.

 

So, why did you say, "all seasons"?

 

To stress the fact that I had an issue with it since the beginning, 'cause I know many people were disappointed just later on.

Probably, but I kept hating it after the hangover was finished.

I'd probably name Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads as best , but I always got rather tired of Fawlty Towers after about 15 minutes .

In Australia “snuggies” are a brand of nappies or diapers as you call them in the US. This made the confession in the opening post very bizarre to me.

I confess I hate David Bowie. I don't like his music, his style and his texts. He is only surpassed by Jamiroquai.

 

We're that far down the rabbit hole? Ok...apart from a few straight up brilliant songs, I think The Beatles are absurdly overrated and the bulk of their catalogue is twee. They're going to go the way of Liberace in the long run.

 

I was moved enough by the Hollywood version of The Nativity Story (2006) to make it a habit of watching it during the Holiday season (taking it out of my local library); and I'm not even Christian.

 

They were masters at crafting albums and one of the first musical acts to treat it as an art form in and of itself instead of simply a collection of songs. With albums like Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road, it's not just about the songs by themselves-- a big example being the medley at the end of Abbey Road. Though of course I would argue that many of their songs-- album tracks and singles-- stand well enough of their own.

 

I like the The Wire, but am bemused at it's almost cult-like following, who insist it's the best there will ever be.
