Hi I have gotten this far into space all on my own

thread title quoting* obi-wan in a new hope during the "thats no moon scene"
ive always loved star wars ever since i was a small child watching the movies and all the usual stuff.
im just here to have a good time. im sick of the hive mind that is reddit and just want to find some like minded people.
came up with my username because i was looking at the lego set i keep above my desk and saw the jek-14 minifigure and thought hey why not. signature is just a radiohead lyric from karma police on ok computer (great album would recommend).

i looked around a bit while waiting for my email to be confirmed for the sixth time (i tried to make an account 6 times and the first five i made myself look like a bot because i set my birthday as may 4th 1977 so the mods denied me) but thank you for the offer! ill take you up on it if i find anything i need some help with
that wasnt a shot at the mods btw it was entirely my fault

 

i have! not as many as i would like, but i have read a few. most of them were gifts to me from a friend, and i havent really read any of the notable series because ive exhausted the limited supply of sw books at local libraries and my shelf space is completely full and then some, however as of today ive cleared out some of that shelf space. any recommendations to get started?

Since you seem to be a fan of old school SW, I'd recommend checking out Brian Daley's Han Solo books. The first one was written before ESB came out, and the author does a fantastic job of capturing the feel of the originals.
