I just swallowed half of a wish bone from a chicken - this is definately not cool

Hey there.

Tonight, my stupid pathetic father gave us all chicken and gave me in particular a piece of chicken with a wishbone inside of it. I had no idea of what I was doing but I picked it up with my fork and accidently swallowed half of the bone itself.

Now my stomach is making strange noises and I'm too afraid to throw it up. If it goes through the wall my intestines, I'm done for.

If I die, this may be my final post here. If so, goodbye and good luck.

Well, I think the fact that you were able to swallow it without choking means you're through the worst of it... just how big was this bone, anyway?

I think it was about 2 inches in length and judging by the other piece, it had a very sharp and pointy end to it.

 

They differ in size! And just how much of the wishbone was it? Was it the whole thing?

Meh... swallowing a chicken bone is not fatal. Unpleasant- undoubtebly, but not fatal. Try swallowing sheds of broken glass instead.

 

Blame your father because you're too stupid to know how to eat chicken.

Great. Now I've had this phantom chicken bone stuck in my throat all morning since reading this.

 

But which half of the wishbone was it?!

Of course, I don't see how swallowing a wishbone could kill you. Passing it will probably be rather painful, but think of it as a brand new life experience that you can tell your grandchildren about one day.

Wow. That does sound kinda painfull. Wouldn't the bone just dissinagrate in your stomach acid, though?

But I've got something to top that: Don't ever swallow a Shock Tart whole. I've done it 3 times in my life, and it was the most excruciating pain I've ever been in. It feels like it's gotten stuck right at the end of your esophogus (sp?). I don't know if it really does, but that's what it feels like. Anyway, I ended up with a stomach ache for hours afterwords. It was 4 years ago, and I'm still terrified of them!

Anyone got any laxatives? Anyone? I haven't "you-know-what" since last night and now I'm getting impatient.

Yet I've had stomach cramps since this morning. This is going to be an interesting afternoon.
