It's just great. Big Train, Black Books, Blackadder, The Office, Smith & Jones, 15 Stores High, Perfect World, Godness Gracious Me, 2 Pints of Guiness and a Bag of Chips... they carck me up completly!

New series of Black Books airing at the moment. Saw the opening ep, just as good as before. It's a British sitcom that's just silly, funny... and not slavishly following the 'dark' sitcom trend (witness Catterick / Nighty Night on the BBC). Such a ray of light... lovely. :)

Black Books is brilliant. Unfortunately, we don't get Channel 4 here, so I'm relying on the DVD when it comes out! The commentary on the first series DVD is great too.

    ^^^^^^^^

I get BBC Prime here and the shows are always late! Fortunatly some local networks buy them while they're "fresh".

Btw, I didn't enjoy the Royle Family. Not at all.

Yeah, I also only have BBC Prime. I know he´s on Shooting Stars (or was) but I´m interested to know if he´s a famous person in the U.K. and if so what does he do?
I forgot Bo Selectra (sp?). I´ve only seen it once where they invited the new cast of Charlie´s Angels and did that little Trainspotting homage.

If you like britcom then I recommend Shaun of the Dead. Written by and starring Simon Pegg of Spcaed and Big Train fame.

In fact I recommend it to you all as it may or may not star FFUK's very own Ripper who may or may not actually still be a member.

I'm seeing a new show: TV To Go. It's great. I love the sketches of the tele-marketing girl, Bulla, and the guy that's always ahed of time ;) (Gareth from the Office).

little britain ? definatly include that on the list:

me personally seem to prefer more sophisticated humour like say the office or alan partridge..
little Britain seems to be more for an american audience .

like when the Office is humourous in the way people relate to it

Alan partridge in the way his use of language intimidates people and is intellegent

'little britian' when an 'assumed' disabled man runs about when his minder isn't looking..

hey, kinda Benny hill! :D my opinion may very well be in the minority though, asabrush.

I think Little Britain is too hit and miss. Some of it is brilliant, and some of it feels like with a bit of tweaking / less indulgence it could've been brilliant.... so it's okay, but not classic

To me, the best comedy series since Alan Partridge is the previously mentioned Black Books. The third series has finished airing now, and it's been consistently brilliant all the way through. I was skeptical that it could hold a third series together, but it surpassed itself time and time again. The concluding episode of the third series was almost beautiful. It puts the sitcoms on the BBC and ITV to absolute shame.
