Look he's been waiting to get one of those for ages, do you have to rain on his parade? Anyway, it's gor to be better than the Woolworths plastic affair that he's been using.

Indeed, I have to fight with one, because I can't afford an FX/EL lightsaber.

I don't think I would ever duel with my FX saber, I'd be worried about destroying it. They are for playing with only, or displaying.

Now my EL sabers from Parks? I've had full on fights with them, full speed, full force, and they are still standing strong.

If you want a good dual, but a real sword. There's no subsitute for the clash of metal on metal.

The more dangerous a dual is, the more you will enjoy it. The risk of losing a hand really gives the dual an edge.

Hmmm, i'm sure there are plenty of online web tutorials around for that kind of thing.

You'll be lucky to find a class that would teach such a specific weapon, but it might be worth a look anyway.

No, you would be suprised at the amount of people who teach such specific weapons.

So what do you plan to use broadsword skills for? Is there a possible fanfilm in the works that would require sword skills? Or is it just one of those things that you've always wanted to learn, such as juggling!

Broadsword is just one of those weapons that you need to learn, for self development. Like ballet was to five year old girls.

Have a google for medieval reneactors in your area. They do sword training as part of their work..I did the basic attack and parry moves with one group once.

Forget five. I started when I was tow and stopped when I was fourteen. And I was still the smallest in class. Everone thought I was ten!

is that how you pronounce 2 as well? tow? lol.

yeah it is just one of those things i want to learn! like i did with archery! but if i learn that and then gymnastics then i could do jedi flips etc when lightsaber fighting

I saw this video on the net the other day, it was one of those videos that was on the same site as those two black guys re-enacting the Anakin/Obi-Wan dual that was posted on the main FFUK page.

He could do stuff that is more or less impossible, even with wire work.

What I would haver given for him to be put in a Sith robe and given a lightsaber. The sheer skill and agility of this guy would blow anything ever seen before away.

I think that if you could combine that new thing they do in cities of running up walls and flipping off them and jumping long distances with someone as good as Ray Park with a lightsaber it would so rock. imo

I wonder if there is anyone in Wales who posesses such talents?

I doubt it, but if there was, imagine how we could exploit him!
