[ICON] Icon Proposal (please vote on the future of sports icons)

Yes, thanks for telling me what i just said. I know the Olympics are global. I know that most other sporting events aren't global. If you can convince me that this has been made an international holiday, i'll be damned. It might seem like one to some people, but face the facts kid-- its not.

And no, just because something is global doesen't make it a holiday. I've been around the world, but i'm not a holiday.

 

Allmost all users have the holidays in common, same for the olympics.


Personaly, I dont think we have to have olympic icons, but I dont oppose them like regular sprots icons either.

 

I personally can't see how you're getting a holiday out of the olympics...

 

How 'bout World Cup Of Hockey (WCOH)? That's "global"...and it's coming up. This August!

 

I would like to see sports icons, provided that you either make icons for any fans that want an icon or just the teams that make the finals or the semi-finals.

If someone wants to express their patriotisim for their country in the Olympics, they can kindly go to a Olympic-related message board and rant all they want. I see no need for that to be here.

There don't need to be country-specific or athlete-specific icons for the Olympics though...

Why we can't have a few generic icons like jace showed on page 1?

 

Hey man, the icons are peachy keen in themselves, i just really don't like the idea of sports icons here.

 

Now, a few Olympic icons, could be okay, since it IS more than a sporting event-it's a huge, global celebration, with a rich tradition.

But for every little sporting thing, like Super Bowls and World Series and all that, huh uh.
