...which would it be? I know it's not a very pleasant subject and sort of a downer. But which one particular track from Williams' multitude of scores would you want people to hear at that important moment when your family and friends come together. Which piece of his music would you want to represent your life?

For me it would be the end title track from the Jaws 2 soundtrack. It's reflective and somber, but it's also almost enlightening and it ends on a spirited high note.

End title of ESB. It expresses a bittersweet, but not over yet, transition. Hopefully!

I've already decided I want my funeral to be as not funeral like as possible, so this will fit very well...

    The Celebration Music from SE:ROTJ

EDIT: Kinda oozes with the sentiment of "I'm gone but don't shed a tear. It was fun while it lasted."

"Remembrances" from Schindler's List or "Hymn to the Fallen" from Saving Private Ryan.

Wow. I guess I didn't really think this one through before I answered. Oh well. It's still "Yub-Yub '97" for me. Show my support for the Special Editions.

Apart from SOTS and I, everyone has picked a SW track - Are you aware that JW has done stuff other than SW? :p

I pick "Marions Theme" from Raiders.

Um excuse me, I picked a track from Jaws 2 not Star Wars. So :p

BUT if I were to pick a track from a Star Wars movie, it would be.... ugh! Too hard to decide at this point!

Well, I won't want a JW song, but if I had to, it'd be the Celebration Song from the end of ROTJ (SE).

Well, I guess I would have to go with the theme from Jurassic Park.(the version on track 7 of the original film soundtrack)

I'm kind of in a Sat Wars mood, seeing as I'm on a Star Wars board. Heck, they can play whatever they want at my funeral. I won't have to listen to it. :p

Put on Britney Spears for all I care.

If you throw out any knowledge what the government plays at their funeral services and switch in Hymm of the Fallen, no one would feel it as inappropriate. Williams' theme can be the anthem for this kind of stuff...

That being said, I wouldn't want such a said mood at my funeral. Put in the finale of Close Encounters. It will move people, but with a uncontainable triumph. Isn't that what we all want people to feel about our own legacy?

I wouldn't find any of Williams' material suitable for my funeral.

So I'd pick The Grand Finale from Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman. If you listen to it, you'll know what I mean.

    :)

Binary Sunset, and then to cheer everyone up, the Indiana Jones theme. Also, the Close Encounters theme would be cool, too, but maybe the people there would think I had a fairly high opinion of myself...

    I'd have no idea :p

I'd probably have Anakin's Theme, or the Darth Sidious Theme.

I would probably want "funeral pyre for a Jedi" from ROTJ. The force theme is great and it's very beautifully arranged.
I thought of "Remembrances" as well but it's too much. But very beautiful.
Edward Scissorhands is a good choice as well. Pherhaps I would choose that one as well.

From a fellow gamer to gamer, hey Senator! I'd just like to point out that "Darth Sidious' Theme" is really Palpatine's theme.
Don't believe me? Listen to the ROTJ CD2 and you'll hear it a ton there too.

Sorry, Mauly - I must have missed yours! :p

Like I said earlier... Marions Theme from Raiders

or if it was a non-JW track (since people seem to be mentioning them), it would have to be Epilogue from The Wrath of Khan by James Horner. (the bit in the film after the final scene on the bridge, but before Spock's epilogue - very moving)

Might listen to it now, actually! :)
