If that was a pike again's my post did I actually think () if I should post those pics or not but thought that they don't really show anything more/less than some of White Queen's outfits or many bathing suits (inculding Ariel's). That any sexy part is something secondary (at least that how it feel to me) in the pics was also a factor to why I decided that they were likely not to naughty to post.

I'm starting the new year with showing a piece I've been wanting to post for almost a year now!

I was approached by Boom Studios to do a alternate cover for Buffy the vampire slayer, but with a slayer of my own from anytime in history.
As Japan had been done before more than once I wanted to dive into another interest of mine - Ancient Egypt!
It's an interesting era that I'd love to see more portrayed in media. (But properly)

It was fun to research all the elements portrayed in this illustration. The characters face and hair is based on a reconstructed face from the later era of AE.

Some art for two different gastropod species for Serina.

The top is the mollontee, a gigantic (manatee-sized) grazing sea slug which would have roamed the warm shallow seas during the Cryocene (50 MYH), protected by a body covered in venomous and brightly-coloured stinging tendrils (which shoals of symbiotic clownfish-like swimmers known as daredevils have adapted to live in).

The bottom is the bird-eating snail (yes, I know it's a slug and not technically a snail), a species of huge (twenty inches in length), terrestrial, and predaceous gastropod which lives in the canopies of the nanboo forests during the Late Pangeacene (240 MYH), hunting by leaving behind patches of extremely viscous and sticky slime to entrap small birds and tribbats.
