The Allosaurus looks good - the Alien Queen looks a little stylised, with a slightly chunkier head than I remember from the movies.

A Silmarillion Vala who isn't pictured all that often - horse looks majestic and the glowing eyes make the Vala look more supernatural - less like an Elf.

Extremely nicely done pic - especially the way the landscape is visible dimly through the clouds.

This octopus is filled with bright orange gas that makes it float around lighter than air.


I like the way the gas is drawn in this pic - reminds me of the way the lamp's smoke is drawn in Aladdin. The octopus is also very cute.

A lot of variety, colorwise, here. The only common colour not present appears to be purple. I like the use of web to define the panels.

I like the catfish visual pun - making it much more catlike than real catfish are.

Not a close facial match, but tucking the fork behind the ear is at least Luna-ish. The ear itself, being a fin, makes this one bit more fishlike than the average.

While I think the pic is good am I in the corner that thinks that the constant deaging of Peter should be stopped, he stopped being a high schooler a long time ago.

 

True - with pics like that I always assume that it's Peter at the very start of his career. I quite liked Jim Butcher's The Darkest Hours novel featuring a much older Spidey.

I wanted to try a super-birdlike design for a Deinonychus. I don't think I'll keep this design for her, but I do think it's pretty cute.
She looks like a roadrunner.

Forgot to mention that I really like how her suit don't look painted on - unlike way to many superheroes, both male and female - and have real seams.

 

I would agree that wrinkles on a costume to emphasise the thickness of the material, lend added realism.

After the death of Emperor Celestios II at the hands of Elven assassins, the once peaceful lands of the ancient Dominion fell into disarray over the question of the late ruler's legacy. The realm underwent a threeway fracture, separating the second largest domain of humankind into three parts. The kingdoms of Margyria, Gallenion and Rivier fought each other for decades. As the frontlines churned back and forth between the rivals - none gaining the upper hand over the other two - hundreds of cities were razed and millions of human lives were lost. Once the conflict had been inherited for two generations, new rulers saw the futility of the conflict. They reached out to one another and sought peace. At last, humankind would know order and tranquility once more. The Dominion was reborn from the ashes of war in the holy city of Oranople, where the borders of the three kingdoms met. A new Emperor was chosen, but real power was vested in the people and their representatives, who saw no sense in repeating the mistake of concentrating too much power in one man.

The Praetorian Guard are the elite infantry force tasked with defending Oranople and the government of the Dominion. Although they are rarely seen on the battlefield outside the fortifications surrounding the capital, they are sometimes deployed as an elite strike unit at the borders of the realm. There, they perform missions that are too demanding for the rank and file. Unlike the common conscript formations of the Dominion, the Praetorian Guard is afforded the presence of battle mages.

 

Nice - a good combination of ancient and modern.

The pic really communicates just how thick the neck was on these creatures.
