Before the race is over, Biden will probably say healthcontroll and gun care in the same sentence.

Also, kind of surprising how little Warren has been called on. This debate is all about the single digit candidates going up against Biden.

I’m beginning to wonder if Biden hasn’t suffered a TIA. He almost comes across as aphasic.

The Panthers game is on weather delay and I was tempted to switch over to the debate.

After learning that Biden gave his own version of “we are not Denmark,” I’ll pass.

Finally Warren is getting the chance to talk. I feel like she’s getting short-shrift tonight.

Then I guess my answer to Pete is that I don't trust Americans.

In terms of elucidating the differences between the top three candidates, this debate has been a failure, so far. But maybe it's too much to expect these shows to serve the public interest. :(

Yes Yang the thing people care about is how American companies are going to make money.

Interesting that the moderators are doing their best to not ask Sanders a question.

Sen. Harris, you know you have to run on something besides "Trump is a big doody-head!" You know that, right?

The polls that article is talking about say that Medicare/Medicaid recipients are the most satisfied with their coverage and the vast majority of respondents see national healthcare costs as a big problem. Personally speaking I would rate my coverage as "satisfactory" or "good" because I got everything I needed from it and I only have to pay $70 a month for it (it would be 10 times that if not for my employer). Just because people are "satisfied" with their personal coverage doesn't mean they like the system. I think that's a nuance that most Medicare-for-All opponents ignore when they say people "like" their private insurance.

If there was still any hope that Biden could beat Trump then tonight should disprove that.

Came into this late and catching up on DVR...

So far Joe has yet to not trip over himself with an answer.

Bernie is hoarse so he’s not getting a lot in tonight.

Warren is sticking to summarizing the problem and avoiding attacking her opponents.

Harris is just dumping on Trump and using up as many attack lines as her team could come up with for her.

    Just moving into Afghanistan now.

Biden's biggest professional setback is his son dying?

^^ I think started with some preface about how he's *never* had a professional setback because everything is a learning opportunity or something. Could have just made a joke about his failed presidential campaigns leading to his becoming vice president but he seems too pissed to get self deprecating.

    My takeaway: Nothing changed.

Biden is still prone to slip ups but that won’t stop him from remaining front runner.

Warren continues to avoid direct attacks and sticks with her plans. She’s likely to continue her slow but steady rise and is unlikely to lose ground.

Bernie being hoarse tonight hurt only in that he couldn’t be as effective and seemed to take less questions as a result. But he is unlikely to lose any supporters and may gain a few.

Harris has great quips and no substance. She is likely to slide.

Mayor Pete said some nice things no one will remember by Monday. I barely remember now.

Beto took some points and props for his response to El Paso and made his moment with “hell yes we’ll take your guns”. But this alone will not get him to break out of the pack. He did not have that moment.

Amy did better but will not move any polls.

Booker was solid but also forgettable.

Yang had his moment with the raffle but beyond that, he came across as a awkward at times and it almost seemed like the moderators questioned why he even belongs on stage which seemed a bit rude and unnecessary.

Castro did very well for his chances as VP for a Warren or Sanders administration. Less likely to get the position in a Biden presidency.

    I miss Marianne and Tulsi.

    @Yodaminch
Thanks I needed a summary. I'm reading here and there that Castro did something which makes him look like an AH.
    Is it true?
