SWRPF Archive In the Thick of the War (A Galactic Civil War RP)

Story:

The Year is 3 ABY, the Empire has found the rebel base on Hoth, and is now planning an attack. This battle will prove disastrous for the rebellion; for this will be the second base they will have lost in three years. Kan Fell?s base of operations has now taken location closer to Raxus Prime due to that being Skarlin?s workshop planet. The Empire is unsure as to how to deal with a full scale rebellion group, along with Kan Fell?s strike group.

Gameplay:

You are either a member of the empire, Alliance to Restore the Republic, Kan Fell?s Strike group, or independent. You can make choices that will influence the outcome of the galactic civil war. You can be assigned bounties on any PC, or NPC. Possibilities are nearly limitless, as long as its cannon enough.

Biography
---Personal History: Born and raised on tatooine, Skarlin has a much better accent then that of his parents, making haggling for him easier. During his upbringing he was taught the jawa trade language, and thus has contacts that many people don't. This and the fact that his father had been a jedi, and trained him in the ways of the force, but had hoped that he could get a proper master. Unfortunatly by age 13, order 66 had been executed, so this dream was going to go unconfronted. At age 14 his parents began bringing him everywhere on their YT-1250. At age 15 he had created his saber, having managed to get a black crystal in the understreets of Coruscant from some shady businessman. At age 16 he had arrived with his parents at Raxus Prime, about a while after the battle there had happened. When introduced to such a profitable location, and the option to assemble his own craft with the aid of his parents, his eyes shone with glee. By age 18 he had finished the ship, a now overly customized YT-1300, complete with a mass driver cannon modified for spacial use. It also sported a dock big enough for the luckily salvaged ARC-170 that he got on Raxus Prime too. At this point he decided to go off on his own, his parents safe from the empires grasp. At age 20 he came to coruscant, where he managed to set up a business that sold scrap ships to people. These ships were in decent quality, but he always made extra profit. Though because of this, sales went slowly, and he had managed to sell 10 in three years.

Biography
---Personal History: Jar'then was raised by both of his Jedi parents, who tought him in the ways of the force. At age 14 his parents had both left because of a mission. After five months his parents still hadn't returned, he left to the streets. After about 3 years, Jar'then managed to gain enough money to afford a small ship. After a few more years of smuggling for small gangster organizations on tatooine, he managed to gain enough profit he bought his YZ, and proceeded to setting up a shipyard in Mos Espa, with a workshop, out in the desert. Over the next few years Jar'then proceeded to gain a large collection of ships and other vehicles at his workshop, along with being a respected repairman, and decent pilot. At age 28 he decided to make half of a standard year time for bounty hunting, pirating, and smuggling, thus gaining a reputation as a feared spacer. His crew consisted entirly of droids, and his ground troops appeared to be hastily built droids, generally combing pieces of some droids with others. At age 31 he managed to get a large quantity of vehicles and droids, proceeding to a have a small mechanical militia. This included recovered droid tanks, republic walkers, and assorted ships. As order 66 was executed, he had found himself in the middle of the slaughter in the Jedi temple, for he was pursuing a bounty there. Due to this he had found himself with many dead clones, or severly damaged clones on his hands. With salvaged, but completely usable bacta tanks, he healed them to fighting condition, and made them part of his crew. He has trained Skarlin in the ways of the force a bit more than he had after an encounter on Geonosis. He then proceeded to learn the force lightning, to be able to further combat the empire.

Biography
---Personal History: Zentha was raised by his parents friends after his parents died due to illness. He lived a fairly normal life, unaware of his jedi potentials. He because aware of his potentials as he entered adulthood (which lasts till they are 400 due to their long life span) when some jedi landed on his planet. He was then taken to the Jedi council and began his jedi training. He trained for may years and became a jedi knight at the age of 93(still considered young by his race). Zentha later left the jedi's and became a Bounty Hunter, only taking bountys that interested him.

History: Raised as a noble on his homeworld of Tatooine, He had always had it easy, everything always went his way and when he learned how he got it he was disgusted. His father was a rouge jedi and either killed or intimidated others to make life easy for them. So then Kan left Tatooine aboard a Spice freighter and made it to Corellia and got together a Band of smugglers none as the Black Shadow. Now he hits targets both Rebel and imperial, if you can pay the black shadow will be very glad to assist you. So kan now commands his group aboard his ship the Dauntless, a command Dreadnaught which he uses frequently and has been heavily modified.

Facial Appearance: Very feminine in terms of her features, yet a bit of a tom-boy in appearance. Risuu has cobalt-blue eyes and long, black hair tied in a ponytail. Her skin is lightly tanned and she has an odd, black tattoo in the shape of three, small, stacked diamonds on her forehead.

Quirks: Risuu has the rather inconvenient habit of rapidly flicking through her various shape shifting forms when she is embarassed or indignant. It was during an arguement with one of her fellow smugglers that this first occurred, and where she earned her nickname, 'Shift'.

Personality: Risuu is quick witted and street-wise. She hates authority and tends to be a bit sure of herself, but she's very loyal and protective of her friends. Direct, to the point, Risuu can be a bit boorish and rash in certain situations - she's certainly not a stranger to pushing her luck.

History: Raised as a fosterling on her homeworld of Lao-mon, Risuu has no knowledge of her parents. Rumours were whispered that they had been assassins, killed when her father 'got sloppy'. Of course, Risuu didn't discourage this - after all, she didn't know the truth herself - but it gave her a phychological edge over the other kids. And that was the way she was - always looking for an advantage.

Risuu hated being a fosterling, resenting the authority that was imposed on her, and thus decided to run away. When she reached the main spaceport of Lao-mon, she encountered a smuggling crew. Only being but a child in the eyes of her people (at the age of 40), Risuu could not fully comprehend that these were 'bad' men - a law unto themselves. They promised her riches and adventure, and she agreed to leave with them on their next voyage.

They took her all over the galaxy, affording her the opportunity to expand her 'repertoir' of shape shifting abilities much earlier than others of her species. Risuu learned to use her shape shifting and telepathic abilities to avoid detection, proving herself to be a born criminal. She has remained with her crew - the only family she has ever known - to this very day, earming herself a healthy stash of ill-gotten gains.

As for the Jedi and Sith - Risuu knew little of these things. They did not concern her, for the life of a Jedi was a mythical concept for a common thief - a life that she could never attain. Order 66 and the Jedi Purge changed that however... Risuu was on a mission in the Rim worlds when the Order came. She felt the echo of the deaths, despite having no knowledge of what was happening in the Core worlds. The pain was so intense that she returned to Coruscant, which she percieved to be the centre of the pain she felt. There she learned of the Purge, and vowed to seek out an answer to what was happening to her.

---Personal History: Jon's parents were murdered in front of him by storm troopers and Palpatine. His parents were Jedi on the run. Palpatine convinced him that jedi and bounty hunters had did leading him to have a deep hate towards Jedi. Jon however has realized that Palpatine lied to him and is secretly plotting the demise of Palpatine.

Snow blanketed over Jon's Tie Scout as he descended on Hoth. It had been his master's idea for him to pretend he was merely a scoutning pilot. Jon waited patiently he knew the Rebels were not as incompetent as some people thought. He returned to the controls and maneuvered his fighter as close to the bunker as it would allow. Jon fingered his lightsaber as he landed. He was looking forward to this mission. He would strengthen himself through training than he would become the true dark lord of the sith. THat was his plan.

The tie landed and Jon hurried out of it. It was quite cold but he used the force to block most of the pain. He was still wearing suitable clothing but the freezing tempratures till bit at him. Jon walked to the gateway doors. There had been three heavily armed guards but he had dispathed of them easily. Jon guestered with his hands. There was a gut wrenching sound as the doors were forced open. Jon ignited his lava lightsaber. Liquid dripped from the blade and hissed at it dropped to the floor. he slowly approached the are and without further ado leapt at the nearest guard he slashed with easy detaching his head from his neck there was a trachial sigh as he hit the ground. Two pilots and one guard came at him. Jon merely guestered knocking them backwards against the bulk head. Jon turned and sprinted towards the HQ center searching for his next target. Generals Reikan and Dodanna.

---Personal History: He became a Pirate when he was 21 and then left and changed both his name and appaerance at the age of 42, before leaving, he saw young man become a Pirate, the boy was 17 and his name was Kittel Kan, he did not like being a Pitate so Hustel Ladd helped the young guy escape with himself. having to fight to get out and mess up a lot of things, they where now being chased by the Pirate Leader Vash Corrino who they messed with. years later, after the Pirate leader was dead Kittel Kan (is now at the age of 23) fell in love with a young and wealthy lady and married her, a year later she had a girl child, and they called her Balain Kan. Kittel's wife died a few days later of a terrible decease, a year later Hustel, Kittel and Balain were attacked by dozens of criminals, Kittel made Hustel promise to protect and look out for balain, Hustel fled with the child while Kittel sacrificed himself to save his own daughter and his friend...

Bio: Marcus Alexander De Caliencio, born to Lord Sonje and Lady Marsil De Caliencio of Csilla, he passed the best-documented means of acquiring Family Status of a Ruling Family, those of particular ability were said to be "born to trial", and given the opportunity to make their Family status permanent. Marcus was lucky enough to be born in the ruling family otherwise he would have had to join the military to be adopted into a family, many children died for this cause. Even in the era of the Galactic Alliance, the wider galaxy seems to have had no direct contact with Chiss civilians. What was known about them was, they mediated largely through encounter with military units, and through a few high-level contacts with political and diplomatic delegations. It is perhaps no surprise, then, that the military and the ruling class were the best understood aspects of Chiss society; or at least, the best documented. Marcus quickly rose up the ranks of Csilla, becoming the most feared soldier due to his Force abilities and his skills with any weapon. Choosing the red colored lightsaber was tradition of the Sith Marcus decided to take up the double bladed light saber known as a Sith Light saber. Marcus being a Sith Lord chose the alias of Darth Dynam meaning "Power or Force".

IC: Jar'then

As Jar'then approached the remanents of the Rebel base on Yavin 4, he picked something up on
his scope. Of what he could detect, it had an Imperial signature.

Probably just some left over walkers or crashed TIEs... He though to himself as
he began his descent. His newer ship, the Crusader's Fist was in orbit, while he landed with
the Shadow Stone. Suddenly a shot fired just above the ships main sensor dish.

What the hell was that!?! He thought to himself panickedly as he pulled up the more accurate sensors. They showed him that the Imperials had set up a base on the planet, and that he was nealry hit by an ATAT. Pulling some fast manuevers, Jar'then managed to get away from the walkers range of fire, and landed two torpedoes against the hull, critically damaging it. He the proceeded to return to the Crusader's Fist, knowing that attempting to retreive anything would cost him dearly.

IC: Skarlin

Skarlin smiled as he proceeded to his workshop on Raxus Prime, which he had moved from Tatooine. He had recently recieved a comission from an unknown soul to build a small destroyer, no bigger than a light freighter. These were the kind of jobs he could easily swindle his way into extra coin. As is the ship was half done, and he was currently looking for an approapriate hyperdrive, using his scavenging skiff and scanner to locate one. Elsirt was currently watching the store on Coruscant, and honing what few force skills Skarlin had attempted to teach him, so Skarlin had nothing to worry about there.

As Skarlin passed by the ruined hull of what was left of a Venator-class, he saw what he was looking for, a Carrack-class, or at least was left of it from his scavenging, and the it's fight at Nar Shaddaa. Smiling he lowered his skiff and prepared his fusion cutter and blaster.

IC- Kan Fell

"An Imperial walker you say, hmmmmm, they probably left it to search our base, no matter we left it empty anyways." Kan said to his right hand Commander Marade.

"Sir, there is a danger, we didn't empty the base completely..." The Commander's voice cut off.

"And exactly what did we leave, Commander?" Kan asked a hint of anger in his reply.

"Ummm, we left some ship spects and personnel logs. Mainly crew members for the three Dreadnaughts we procured at the end of the war."

"Personnel logs? I never athorized the creation of any logs, Commander. This is not a very concerning move, we simply need to contact our contact in the Senate, get him to stirup some trouble. a distraction if you will." Kan said to his right hand.

"Yes, Sir." Commander Marade saluted and left the room.

"Personnel Logs, thats interesting, yes thats very interesting."Kan thought to himself.

 

IC: Jar'then

Though he knew that it would cost him revealing his main ship, Jar'then was still curious as t what was down there. As he descended in the Crusader's Fist, he had the droids ready the turbolaser turrets, hoping to rip a big enough hole in the walker to disable it. As they came to where the walker was, the turbolasers flew, and scored their marks, damaging the ATAT greatly. Landing, Jar'then readies the salvaging droids, hoping that he'd get plenty of scrap and abandoned ships.

IC: Skarlin

As Skarlin entered the Carrack through the hole he had previously made, he came across the normal left over scrap gaurdians, that he had reprogrammed to prevent any other salvager from using the parts. He proceeded to thr rear of the ship, recovering blasters from fallen salvagers. As he arrived at the hyperdrive core, he smiled, it was the one peice of the ship that wasn't completely decimated. As he began cutting it out, he heard scuffling of metal, but mearly geussed it was a scrap gaurdian moving about.

IC: Darth Dynam

Darth Dynam sat cloaked in darkness of his meditation room, his mind raced upon his endless thoughts of the Empire. Threats were near, not to him, but near to them all. His red eyes were open yet he saw nothing, his ears were aware yet he heard nothing, he was silent as though he had disappeared within the endless caverns of his mind. He had slept, this he knew, but his body ached as if it had not touched a morsel of peace, such trials were normal to his body, knowing none of peace and tranquility. Still, he had wondered, what life would be like if he had been a Jedi, the thought had crossed his mind many a times and the answer would remain the same-he would not be powerful, he would not be feared-so he thought it was best of his efforts of the Empire's as well.

IC: Zentha

The Astral Screamer flew through space. Zentha was returning with a bounty he had recently aquired. Zentha turned on his ships communicaton.
Message to Jabba The Hutt
"I have captured the bounty and i'm returning to your palace." He said calmly "I expect my reward to be ready when I arrive"
He turned off his communicaton as he began to decend to Tatooine. Zentha exited his ship once it had landed and entered the palace,dragging a Jawa in a red hood behind him. The guards lead him to Jabba's Throne Room.
"Here" Zentha said, throwing the tied up Jawa infront of Jabba

 

IC: Jar'then

As Jar'then proceeds into the hangar, he sees that there were a few salvagable Y-wings, along with an experimental A-wing. Jar'then smiles, and nods to his droids as he proceeds inwards, hoping that there may be left over computers to salvage.

IC: Skarlin

As the Squib finishes removing the hyperdrive, and proceeds to his skiff, he is suddenly confronted by a slightly disgruntled Ugor.

"Stop right there, I hab claim on that!" The Ugor proclaims, holding his blaster, barely even noticing that the Squib wasn't even touching the Hyperdrive unit. Skarlin sighs and replies,

"First come first serve you half-witted freak." The Ugor recognizes that it's a Squib he's dealing with, and says,

"Think again fuzz-butt, I want that so I get it." Skarlin sighs as he lowers the generator with the force, and pulls out his saber.

"Sabers beat blasters." Skarlin simply says as he ignites the black blade. The Ugor stupidly shrugs and shoots twice at Skarlin, who in turn deflects the shots to the blaster, disarming the Ugor.

"You'll regret this!" The Ugor shouts, realizing that he was beat, and runs off. Skarlin grins as he relifts the generator and proceeds to his skiff, thinking about how easy that was.

IC: Admiral Ozzel

"Antilles, you there?" The Admiral asks, knowing he was, "You're orders are infiltration to know learn what their weakness' are, don't get detected, my neck is already on the line." The Admiral turned off the com and prepared the jump, hoping he knew what he was doing.

IC: Rebel Pilot

The sound of three fellow rebels fazed the pilot, but he stood vigilant, he heard no blasters, so he knew that this might be a force user, and thus, was wearing cortosis from a battle droid that had been found along the way to Hoth. His FA-3 Flechette on his back and a shield recovered from a stormtrooper commander on his arm. He was an elite, and elite had to be prepared for even the unlikely.

IC: Zentha

The Guard grabbed the Jawa and dargged him away. Zentha looked up at Jabba as he began to speak.
"Lord Hutt thanks you for capturing that Jawa and asked me to give you your reward" Said Jabba's translator, handing Zentha a bag of credits.
"Well, nice doing business with you Jabba" Zentha said as he turned to leave. He left the palace and took off in his ship. As he flew through space, he set his auto pilot to a small planet to look though his list of bountys.

 

IC
Jon crumpled the life out of a final trooper and let his dead body drop to the ground. He had heard Ozzel's comment and he had no desire to respond to the weak minded Admira but he did so anyway.

"Space to ground bombing is not a good idea they have a sheild." Jon said simply into the com as he strode down the hangar. "I suggest that you move in on the ground."

Jon turned as two soldiers came at him. He slashed at the wings on a near by X-wing and hurled them the remians at the soldiers. One was decapitated and the other cut in half.
Jon came to a stop when he noticed someone. The soldier was an elite a flechett on his back and shield on his arm. Jon merely smirked. He released a hail of force lightning from his palm it surged across the building and at the elite.

 

NPC: Elite

The Trooper simply raised his sheild, absorbing the lightning.

"Nice try, but that won't work." The Trooper says cockily, waving his finger tauntingly. He then pulls out his flechette, and begins firing it at the acolyte.

NPC: Ozzel

Ozzel sighs at the reply, and orders the jump to hyperspace. Upon arrival, he finds himself to close to Hoth.
Uh-oh He thought as he heard the moniter beep. Sheepishly, he activates it, awaiting his fate.

"Ozzel, you have failed me for the last time! Admiral Piett, don't fail me again!" The harsh Sith voices rings in, followed by Ozzels strangulation, and death.

"Antilles, where do you suggest we strike, I want to make sure that the rebels have no chance of victory this time." Admiral Piett asks firmly over the com, showing that he knew what it took to be a sucessful Admiral.
