Indy 5 Indiana Jones & The Dial of Destiny All Aboard the Hype Train to June 2023!

I honestly think he probably has one or two films left in him before he retires.

 

Feel of the first two Indiana Jones films? So it's going to have a gory scene at the end?

 

It's just studio talk nonsense for we can't spoil it for you so lets talk about boring stuff like comparing it to the classics and so now we are talking about the 1st two films now and not what we can't tell you... so yea.

when do we get a title already. holy cow grail.

 

Will Chet Hanks be returning?

 

Going back to the feel of the originals is absolutely something that they should do, I hope they all realised what a misstep 4 was and can give us a film that ends the series on as much of a high note as Last Crusade did the OT.

 

Especially when you're talking about movies as different as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom. The Last Crusade is the one that was consciously trying to be closer to the original.

But I expect it's just a feel-good phrase: nostalgia sells, so just promise people that what you're doing is going to be more like the original product everybody loves, and they'll be reassured.

 

Between Mads Mikkelsen's role in this new Indy film and Michael Byrne as the SS Colonel in The Last Crusade, it appears Indiana Jones wants to be Gellert Grindelwald's enemy (Michael Byrne played an older Grindelwald in Deathly Hallows Part 1).

 

I spotted that at the time. Thought it was a nice touch since Byrne's arguably most recognizable role is as a Nazi in The Last Crusade, and Grindelwald is coded right from the start as Wizard-Nazi (between the German name and the 1945 date of defeat).

i heard that as well. old yeller stone, ford has to put mirren down right?
