JCC Insomnia

I slept in my big comfy bean bag with ambient music.

 

I slept normally last night, and took a nap at noon (despite the heat). Letting my place flood with cool night air before lying down def helps.

 

4:08 AM. Spent the whole night with the percolating of yesterday's massive case, which I tend to do unconsciously, inviting itself into drerams, waking me up several times and blurring the distinction between sleep and insomnia...

 

I 've had similar experiences when something is really stressing me out. A feeling like you kind of slept but not really. Hope you can make it through your workday and then get some quality rest , @Lordban

 

Temperatures also just dropped below 25C, so it's not like it was a restful night from that perspective either...

 

6:04 a.m. Awake since about 4:30.

I sort of feel ok now...though this afternoon will be another story...

Good morning everyone but especially those who didn't sleep at all in the night.

5:13 am, travelling today so spent the whole night tense. May have dozed a little but then I got so hungry I might as well get up.

Next time I have a morning flight, I need to take something stronger to get some actual sleep!

 

Hi gang guess what my newly prescribed Lunesta does for my sleep?

Nothing.

Took it two hours ago and was told it would work in 20 minutes. Nope something is seriously weird with my brain. Not tired at all.

Just got back from The Suicide Squad. It was okay in the strictest sense.



I love making plans with people but I always feel down when they’re over, especially when I’m the newcomer/outsider (always). Still better than nothing.

 

Making my insomnia work for me lately, thankfully it’s allowed me to help mom before her worst pain sets in around dawn.

 

So now I've been told by my sleep doctor to try two Lunesta tonight. Since one did literally nothing I'm not hopeful. But we'll see.

 

This is cheating since it’s daytime where I’m at, but I’ve had three nights in a row where I’ve been off my devices and made every effort to sleep, but have not been able to get a wink.

 

I often cannot sleep because my hamster want to play on his wheel all night.

 

That should be the plot of a short horror film.

 

Why not remove the wheel at night?

 

If I could solve my sleep problems that easily I'd love to. Remove the wheel.

So now I'm on Ambien. This one does make me fall asleep but I still can't stay asleep, so it's the same as my old regimen.

I've asked the sleep doctor if I can now try the extended release version of Ambien to actually stay asleep. We'll see what she says.

 

Because that is when he most active, and want to exercise. I have to move him and his home into the other room then I cannot hear him.

 

Yeah or just move the cage. This can be fixed luckily.

 

Me: "I'm gonna get a full night's sleep."

Brain: "Here's an upsetting dream that will wake you up 90 minutes early."

 

Ugh that's one of the worst ways to wake up early.

I think the Ambien is sorta helping? I'm sleeping a solid 6 hours before waking up which is slightly better than before... Next week I find out if I can try the extended release.

 

I’m currently awake in my room, noisy apartment.

I haven’t been as productive as I’d like with studying, largely because it’s hard to sit and focus for long stretches.


Tomorrow night I will have no choice but to pull an all nighter, since my first final is at 8 am on Tuesday and it’s a 30-40 minute walk from my apartment once I roll out of bed.


I’m not sure whether I should go to sleep now or study now and sleep in later.

 

This right now.
