    @Pensivia
    That's so cute :) Hi!
We are in the same time zone, here it's 3:35 now.
I want to send you positive energies.
You'll see that during the day it will be less tough than you thought, and all the tiredness will only get you when you'll have finished. Don't forget to keep yourself hydrated, you can do this!

In French, insomnia is insomnie, which is pronounced as un somnie. Un, or one, is of course followed by deux, or two. Which officially puts me today on deuxsomnies, or twosomnias.

Is that why the French cure for insomnia is a threesomnia?

I completely failed to sleep last night, and now I have a day of appointments ahead that starts in 90 minutes. Ice fell out of the sky last night, and I may take a Lyft rather than drive my piece of **** car on slippery roads on zero sleep.

@Lordban here you go Frenchie. My boy epic is a one man ménage a trios. He’ll probably be swinging by France soon. How about a refresher course?

Just finished working... this stupid commute makes me waste so much time. I just hope I'll be able to sleep 'cause when I drink the American coffee it's not very easy. On the plus note, going our from the office where I work is quite cool during night. The air has a good smell and it is always foggy but in a pleasant way.

Most Americans have a detectable level of blood in their caffeine system.

Ten till 4 in the morning. Awake. Cat: zzzzzz. How can this cat sleep peacefully 24/7 while I can’t make it from 11 pm to 7 am in one go?

Yeah, I"m talking about that long drink that Gary Sinise keeps in his hand in every single scene of CSI.
I just call it coffee for the sake of simplicity.
For the record, it's working on me, sadly.

I have no idea how they can manage to train their body to handle it. It's devastating for me. I shouldn't have taken it.

You don't even drink proper coffee :p

Well, cats normally sleep 12 to 16 hours per day... :p

Hopefully not because your back refuses to bend or some other such physical inconvenience... :s

I stayed awake until late, in part because of the Nevada caucus, in part because I started cooking lentils after midnight.
I usually try to avoid cooking so late. I live in a studio and the bed is in the same room as the kitchen. However, i had already put the lentils to rest in the water few hours ago. Once you have the lentils ready to cook you can't simply put them in the fridge and cook them the day after. You need to cook them first and only then it's ok the put them in the fridge.

The lentils were bought in Whole Foods.
Brown lentils. Aurora is the name of the brand.
I just cooked them with onions and vegetable broth.

I like the kind of lentils that cook very slowly, and this is the reason why I'm still awake. Now they're ready though.

2:45 am. Awake and reading about 3sm1r’s lentils. Now I’m too hungry to sleep and too sleepy to eat. Shakes tiny fist at cold, uncaring Fate

It's quite upsetting when the boss writes emails at night. On one side you'd like to answer just to show that Yes, you did read his email despite the late hour. On the other hand I have been told this unwritten rule that it's not polite to write emails outside usual working hours.

These days have been very tiring. They demanded me to work from home because of the Covid-19, which I happily did, considering the 1h20m of commute.
Generally speaking, now I spend most of my day here. I thought everybody would do the same, given the circumstances, but here I see a lot of people chilling outside during the day.

^I feel you on that. And yes, I think it should be a rule of work etiquette to avoid sending emails outside usual working hours/days for that particular workplace (except of course perhaps in a true emergency situation or for certain critical jobs where people have to address serious crises). My own personal approach is that I save any emails I compose outside of work hours as "drafts," and then wait until the beginning of the next work day to actually send them out.
