Stackpole made a good point. The book club threads are starting to become more popular, so it deserves it's own continuing thread. Nothing up my sleeve, and presto...here it is: The Official Book Club Thread.

First item of business for the new thread: a new name. "Book Club" is getting kind of old. It was funny at first because of the Fight Club reference, but that's long since worn thin.

So, everyone make some suggestions. Funny, serious, whatever. I'll take them, run a poll and we'll have our official name.

I think Saturdays don't work out for many people so they can only come to book club. Or thats just an excuse...

A name for the book club? Uhmmmmmmmm...an idea is forming. How about...."The Republic Readers". "Jedi Scholars"? "Jedi Historians". Or....how about...."The Star Wars Book Club"?

Oh, this is off the topic, but I thought that I would share this funny story from my week. I was flirtting with this really pretty blonde the other night as I was purchasing the complete 4th season of Deep Space Nine. She asked how old I was (she's 20) and I replied in a deep, low voice..."How old do you think I am?" She replied, 36!!!!! Egads, I'm only 32. Anyway, I was afraid that my DVD collection I bought would make her think I was a geek. So, I came up with a great cover story: I said it was for my dog, Molly, to watch! I'll probably see her next week as she works at the store that I was at. Fortunately, next week is when the complete third season of Babylon 5 comes out. That is a show for cool, intellectual, sci-fi geeks

Come on, there are some creative people in our club. We have an author, a guy that comes up with all kinds of theories on SW, and a guy that thought up cowboy weddings, not to mention the twisted genius that is Stackpole. SOMEBODY COME UP WITH A NAME!

As you may be able to deduce, my day was really bad. The only thing good that came out of it was my genius idea for a new superhero. By day, he is a mild mannered banker. However, after eating a mutated TUMS, he is now and forever know as "TUMSMAN"!!!!! His super power is the ability to create and shoot different sizes of TUMS from his wrists. His sidekick is the every resourceful "POSTINOTEBOY". His super power is the ability to ride the air currents with his giant posti-note.

Help me.....I'm not well (curls up in a fetal position and begins to cry.....)
