On serious note (I know that be difficult in here, but), I am disapointed that they are planning to make to sequels, to make yet another trilogy - for crying out loud! I think this masterpiece (am I allowed to call it that) should be left as a stand alone piece of work.

 

I'm in two minds about them making a trilogy out of this film, to be honest. Obviously, i love Pirates and would love more of the same, but, i worry that they will make the same mistake they did with making the sequel to 'The Mummy'(and i won't bother to mention The Scorpion King).

When the first Mummy film came out, like Pirates, i couldn't get enough of it, then they released a very poor sequel. Not that i don't enjoy it, it's just nowhere near as funny as the first one, the chemistry between characters doesn't feel right, like it did in the first one, and to make it worse.....there's the obligatory annoying kid in it.

So really, as long as the sequels to Pirates don't suffer from the above mentioned stuff, they should be good......hopefully.

Having said that, the other part of me would like them to just leave us with the one really great and rereshing movie.

When i think about it, they could carry Pirates alot further than just a trilogy...which really would ruin it.
