She was fairly pretty. Sadly, Fisher's most fetching trait--her acerbic wit--wasn't properly utilized in the OT, so I'm largely apathetic to her SW persona.

My question: If the family started out with beauties like Christensen and Portman, and continued with the comparatively unremarkable Hamill and Fisher, who would comprise the third generation? Steve Buscemi and Tilda Swinton, perhaps?

Personally, Boba fett is the hottest thing in the star wars galaxy. In other arenas in life, i'm boringly straight. But Boba fett, well, he's the exception to the rule. But only if he keeps the helmet on, thank you. I got no shame.

Fisher's a total 'butterface'.

Her body is hot, but her face...well, is not. That being said, I found her quite pretty in ANH: she had really soft features, although in the following two movies her looks went definitely down. And no, wearing a skimpy outfit may make someone hot, but not beautiful

Natalie Portman on the other hand is drop-dead gorgeous. Her face is just a work of beautifully proportioned art.

 

AMEN!!! Fisher's face is not feminine at all, she looks like an old lady even when she was 19 I think in ANH.

 

Sarlaccsaurs, what a ridiculous overstatement. Of course Fisher's face is feminine in 'ANH' -- the big eyes, long eyelashes and pink-glossed lips tend to give her away -- and with those chubby cheeks and smooth skin she looks no older than about 20.

You're entitled to your opinion that she isn't attractive, of course, but the contention that she looks like an elderly man is absurd beyond all reason.

 

You know, the more I look at pictures she didn't start seeming like an old lady until ROTJ. I guess I do sound a little crazy.

 

I don't think that the slave costume is hot at all. At first I was confused but now I am sure.

Well, they did have some animal rip off half her skin-tight top in AOTC. Wrong half, IMHO.

I don't necessarily like to be so... er... distracted while watching Star Wars, anyway.

FWIW, they did drag a version of the metal bikini out for TPM, just wasn't put to particularly good use.
