JCC ITT Unpopular but Correct Opinions

I have a chocolate donut in my hand as I read this.

Donuts made with chocolate or donuts iced with chocolate?

 

I agree that glazed, fried donuts are really the only true donuts.

 

In that case, my unpopular but correct opinion is that fake donuts are the only good donuts, because I don’t know how anyone can stomach glazed donuts, that is a sugar catastrophe.

 

I prefer raised donuts to cake donuts. A raised donut with vanilla icing and maybe some sprinkles is my go to. I don’t know if that’s blasphemy of not.

 

Doughnuts are just ****, and sticking them down your gullet for brekkie is ****ing insane.

Why do restaurants offer a ton of creative cakes of every variety but you can't find creatively made gourmet donuts anywhere?

And pudding's even more ignored. They haven't progressed past what you get from Jello pudding. Somebody needs to get to work on this.

 

The best thing about donuts for breakfast is how filling they are. Guaranteed not to be hungry again until the early afternoon.

Krispy Kreme is definitely sugar overload and thinking about them makes my teeth scream...but I can still buy a dozen and eat them by myself. Any doughnut really except for jelly doughnuts I love. Jelly doughnuts are garbage.

 

Australia has consistently the best coffee on planet Earth.

 

Maple Bacon Donut.

Though honestly, donuts are kind of like cheesecake. People load 'em down with stuff and you lose the essential quality of them. Like I don't want cheesecake that's covered in ten kinds of chocolate and three different cherries or whatever. I want a plain cheesecake where I can taste the cheesecake and get the texture of the cheesecake. Same with a donut. I'll take a plain glazed. If I want Fruit Loops, I'll eat a bowl of Fruit Loops, you know? If I want a donut, I want a donut, not a pile of cereal on top of a donut completely covered in icing.

Krispy Kreme are not good though. Daylight Donuts is the good one around here. And anyway, fight me irl, donuts should not be eaten hot.

Lots in LA as well, though I preferred the old fashioned Korean donut places that are everywhere.
