JCC ITT we complain about our 1st world problems...

Did a bunch of online shopping for manly dress clothes, which is great. Except now I also need to return like three packages worth of stuff that didn't fit. And I hate going out to FedEx.

 

What's it like out there?

I know how that goes. I have an eye clinic appointment on Wed and the last place I want to be with the coronavirus issue is in a hospital (even though I'll only be there a couple of hours).

 

I don't think there are any cases in the UK yet, are there?

 

Yeah, there are - 13 so far. Those who still have it are all in isolation or hospital though. Four were from that cruise ship in Japan. I think the rest were either in France or China before they came back. The hospital I have the appointment at is the closest one to Heathrow Airport though. Hopefully no one will come in on a plane feeling ill on Wed.

 

We should hope not!

 

I’m in Italy which according to the coronavirus thread means I actually already died at least twice, because everyone wants to play at this being The Stand.

No, I’m in Florence. It’s seemingly pretty situation normal here other than slightly more folks wearing masks (obviously I don’t have a reference point I don’t exactly live here).

 

BBC News has been showing footage of a huge queue for masks in S. Korea.

 

Yeah, not so much here. I’d actually be a lot more worried about the knock-on effects than the actual virus if it came to that, those riots in Ukraine have me more spooked than anything else.

Today's Stern Show isn't On Demand yet on the SiriusXM app, despite it being past 11pm EST for **** sake, so I've got to listen to it on channel 100, with the goddamn commercials, etc. Pfffffft.

 

It is time to wake up The Little Fish. That means soon I will be watching an episode of Paw Patrol.

 

First day off in over a week, and I start to get sick.

I wish my work computer accepted to read my backup HDD like every other computer I can lay my hands on does. Seems I have a shot USB port, hurray

 

it's been very cold here so I've been wearing my furry hat. Just got back from the shops , took off the hat and saw that it's made really crazy shapes with my hair which I must've been displaying every time I went in a shop and took my hat off.

 

Life sucks and it's miserable and hurts and then you either die miserable and alone or just off yourself in the most painful and quickest way possible.

Woken up by neighbor's evil pigeons on our roof. They sound like they are performing a ritual or having sex which triggered their dogs and the dogs behind us.

 

I'm sick and should call out, but if I call out, I'll only be one occurrence point away from suspension/termination because I'm still in my first 90 days at my new job.

At my old job, if you called out, all you had to do was bring in a doctor's note.
