JCC ITT we complain about our 1st world problems...

It was just cool enough in my section of the Valley last night to wear a jacket on-the-way-to work, but it was rather pleasant & warm on the way home 2-hours go, and with no place to put it, had to wear it again; also, I've lost a little too much weight in which said jacket is a tad too loose.

 

Some first world problems appear to be older than we thought.

Having just arrived to work, I get this text from a friend on vacation:

The constraint on the V6 engine is holding up my 2022 Camaro order. I don’t want to spend the money on the V8 and the V6 will arguably make a better autocross and track car. Stupid chip shortages and supply problems. Time to get this crap sorted out so I get my toy car by early spring!

 

I'm out clothes shopping with the family as tge kids need new stuff.

Basically I'm a walking bank today.

Bored as sin and to top it off, the shop I'm in is playing Christmas songs.

I’m going to spend too much money on excellent coffee, food and alcohol today while, “working” remote.

 

I'm a big fan of Christmas, but it starts after Thanksgiving/the end of November if you don't have a Thanksgiving. Period. Now people just start it BEFORE Halloween? It's spooky season. The only Christmas movie allowed is Nightmare Before Christmas.

 

I agree. Way too early to already get the Christmas stuff going. It’s Halloween in just two days…..cmon people, let’s get into Halloween!

 

My doctor appointment got changed as close to last minute as possible.

 

About 70% of our Christmas section is already setup at my Target.

Mine too. Of course I'm the idiot who changed mine. It's just a lab draw but I accidentally ate food and it was fasting so now I have to go in at 7:45am next Monday because I'm a moron. It needs to be processed before my physical on the 11th though.

 

The message I got from my doctor was scheduling conflicts.

 

It’ll be an NFL Sunday on this Halloween, and yet it’s the Raiders bye week…

Tomorrow I have to go back to the office for a half day starting at 1pm.

And it's my own stupid fault. I couldn't wait to schedule a recording for when one of the THREE people ahead of me could run teleprompter, nooo. I had to get it done now to be all timely and whatnot and get projects done with plenty of time for editors to work on them.

I really don't want to go to the office, obviously. First time since March 2020. Hate it.

 

My wallet hates me for purchasing several PS5 games.
