Wow. Don't work with me then. Freezing and sunny outside. Freezing and stupid on the inside. The 'heating' in this place barely gets us to 17 degrees some days.

First time I went to Canada for a holiday was over xmas and new years a few years ago. They had a late snow fall but basically over night it dropped about 4 feet of snow  I had my first "proper" white xmas :D

Anyway, it averaged around -20 most days and when we went dog sleding one day it was -40 with the wind chill factor. [face_devil] Before we started I took off my gloves for about 40 seconds to tie my shoe laces up, my fingers froze so much that I jumped back in the car and defrosted them in front of the heater. I'm guessing most of you have had cold hands before and stuck them in front of a heater or under warm water, know think back to how much your hands felt like they were burning and times that by ten. :_|

The funny thing is that no matter how much it felt like my hands were burning I couldn't take my hands away. My ex girlfriend had done the same thing, so here we both were, sitting in the car with the heater on full, both in pain because our hands felt like they were burning and yet we're giggling like school children because of the pain. After a few minutes our hands were back to normal and we had a great time dog sleding. :D

I was glad the next winter in Melb when it only got down to 5-6. ;)

Also my father, who worked in Canada, experienced one day that it was -58 in the wind chill, the radio warned people not to expose skin for more then 30 seconds at a time.

Does it ever snow in Melbourne? I know it did out in the suburbs last year or something, but it doens't in the CBD, yeah?

I'd take snow over this miserable rain, too. :(
