Both are terrible, so I can see the common link.
Photo of underwater performance capture- a combination for this production that hadn't occured to me, even though, of course James Cameron would combine those two.
Jake will travel to Earth to go scuba diving in the north Atlantic Ocean... where he will find Jack, frozen in a block of ice since the Titanic sank, the world's one true Avatar who disappeared when the Corporatist Jocks attacked when taxation to outlying trade routes was in dispute, now he has only 1 year to master all 4 franchises they're ripping off before Sozin's Pandemic returns to give Jeff Bezos ultimate control over the galaxy.
That person (probably 2 Na'Vi) is not only riding the object but also holding onto another person
Disney just announced all Avatar movies have been pushed back by one year.
Come on Jim, push 2 back til 2024 so it can have been delayed a full decade. Please. For me?
He'll try to colonize the oceanfloor or something for even more realistic footage with the additional time now.
Are you kidding me?
The joke's on all of us.
In what way?
(WARNING: some langauge)
“We lost about four and a half months of production. As a result of that, we’ve rolled around one more full year for a release in December of 2022. That’s been announced already. Now that doesn’t mean I have an extra year to finish the film, because the day we deliver Avatar 2 we’ll just start working on finishing Avatar 3.
So where we are right now, I’m down in New Zealand shooting. We’re shooting the remainder of the live-action. We’ve got about ten percent left to go. We’re a hundred percent complete on Avatar 2 and we’re sort of ninety-five percent complete on Avatar 3. So we’re very lucky in that we chose this as our production site years ago.”
I'm 42. I'm going to be 80 by the time these movies come out.
We'll all look like Rose at the end of Titanic.
Really good analysis here about Avatar's politics, focusing on the themes of post-colonialism, capitalist realism, and the frontier. Language/profanity warning.
