Jedi Characterization

    I have a problem accepting the celibacy mandate. It seams with the codes it is something they are to strive for. It is a balanceing act. To completely deny something would tip the balance. the Jedi are humans or aliens for that matter and have these feelings ( or needs ) and to not do anything would hinder their control physically.

    Well, I suppose I can sort of understand the celibacy mandate. Jedi are supposed to strive for an emotional balance - that is *they* control their emotions instead of the other way around. Keeping that in mind, you can sort of understand the mandate.

    Which raises interesting questions. Might that be *one* of the reasons why more people seem to turn to the Darkside in the NJO than in the OJO?
