Jedi Outcast - I want to be a Jedi even more now!

So, thought I'd pop on and say hi before I disappear off to Scotland for 2 days.

Just wanted to say that I finished Jedi Outcast yesterday, and I now want to be a Jedi even more!

This game rocked, if for nothing else than the lightsaber fights. Full on, high-speed saber swinging action. So cool!!

Actually, one big problem with it IMHO is that it doesn't have a SW feel. JK did, this doesn't.

 

You have to be joking, this kicked ass, better saber locking better fights, the Stormies looked like stomies, I know JO has its faults, but most of them were + rather than -.

 

As long as its more SW than Rebel Assault II I don't care.

And more SW than Pod Racer.

 

and more SW than Shadows of the Empire..

 

Sabre fights and killing stormies do not a SW game make, as well done as it may be. It feels a bit too much like Quake with stormies and AT-STs thrown in.

 

I dont know Ben it was well balanced I thoughy, you finished it yet??

 

Rougue Squadron is the Definitive Star Wars game. Death Star trench as Luke Skywalker!

Well thats just sinched it for me. I'll HAVE TO get it at some point now

 

gold medal in all the other levels. Brilliant. But there is a cheat I think. Look for it on the net. And you get to play in the falcon! put "Farmboy" in as your code.

 

I tried that and it wouldn't accept it... bah!! Nor did the play as TIE interceptor... but I'll just have to get Gold on each level now....

 

It defo works. I played as the tie interceptor as well. It's hidden behind one of the other ships. Try em again sam.

 

Just checked the web... got wookiepelt as the code for Falcon, goodguytie as code for TIE as well as oompawampa for all missions.. just in case, like...

 

Ahh! you have it on PC (I think). I'm talking of N64 codes.

 

Rogue Squadron - absolute belter of a game. The TIE interceptor is behind the Falcon - when you've put the right code in, you have to wait for the camera to settle on the Falcon then press UP.

Its great to drive but has zero shielding.

Have you played as the Naboo Starfighter? Bizarre how a 30-yr old ship beates the Death Star so mch easier than a brand spank-me new X-Wing.

If you don't buy this game you're a fool to yourself. Apart from being SW, its the best flight/shooter I've played on any platform ever.

Lovely controls. Lovely differentiation between the ships. Virtually no frustration factor whatsoever cos of the medals system.

I have the PC version. I couldnt get past the level with the AT-AT so I gave up. And the cheat codes for the PC are crap.

 

Oh wait I'm completely oblivious to the fact yous is talking about RS, I thought yous was still talkin about Jedi Outcast I have RS, tis cool, specially playin as the naboo starfighter, which I agree is bizarrely much better than the "newer" ships. No B-Wings though
