ST John Boyega (Finn) in Episode IX

Do we know the primary weapon set of the KoR? Is it melee or are they shooters too? We need a little bit of information on them in TROS. Doesn't have to be extensive, but I'd like to know why there are KoR and how Kylo came to be the master of them. If it's just the remaining Jedi students, it will be interesting to see how they would match Finn up against them since he hasn't been revealed to be FS

 

Four of them have melee weapons and two have big guns. Let's face it, if these guys are Kylo's top fighters Finn isn't going to be taking on any of them toe to toe.

Why wouldn't he be taking them on? He held his on when they attacked Maz's place in TFA.

 

If anything, Finn has shown a willingness to throw down with adversaries far more powerful than himself when he faced off with Kylo and Phasma. He was also ready to fight the First Order's army to help Luke, so he seems to have this underdog thing going for him.

 

Where the grunt with the twirly stick knocked him on his butt? I know it's a Space Fantasy but....

 

Does MSW have rumors on who the KoR are fighting yet?

I didn't say he made mistakes in his fight, just that he held his own.

 

They're fighting the good guys.

 

Until he lost. If Finn goes up against the KoR he will only win by the introduction of some kind of leveller to give him a chance.

 

He had been training all his life prior to TFA in a military outfit, can't see how he would improve over that after a year with a bunch of rag-tags constantly on the run. I would guess that Ren takes out the KoR or they are offed in some unsatisfactory way like in an explosion.

 

KoR will be killed off-screen and have wilhelm death yells.

 

He has his TFA blaster again, while riding an alien horse, alongside Jannah

 

Only new info about what finn is doing in this movie is:
Finn and new ally Jannah (Naomi Ackie), atop hardy orbaks, lead the charge against the mechanized forces of the First Order.

Also crazyoldjedi is right the KOR are former jedi.

 

I want to be excited about Finn, but they're giving me nothing. I mean good photo by Annie I guess but... I just don't see anything to suggest I should expect a "better" more "enjoyable" storyline for Finn.

 

It looks like no Force sensitive, no stormtrooper rebellion.

But there's a possibility that Jannah is his sister or at least from his home planet.

So I guess we get a story where Finn discovers his roots???

And even THAT is only a possibility.......

 

Hmm... Those articles don't do an awful lot for Finn; just parroting info we've seen with our own eyes in the last two films.

 

The fact that the best photo in the bunch is of two characters getting the least attention (besides Rose) makes me again concerned about whether I'm going to enjoy this film. I think LF are overestimating how invested average viewers are in Rey and Kylo at the expense primarily of Finn but secondarily all of the Resistance.

 

So I'm not sure how accurate it is but I someone said Abrams says that Kylo is mowing down the KOR. So no force powers, no St rebellion, no fighting any of the KOR, no signature weapon, no connection to the main story, but at least he gets to 'look' cooler right?

 

Nice photos but that article was nothing but yet another Kylo & The Other Guys type, with the other characters sprinkled in-between and borderline forgotten.

 

Stupid things to consider:

They said Jannah's entire character is a spoiler, so maybe she really is Finn's sister, or relative or from the same clan.

No Rose pics at all. Maybe she is really is pregnant with Finn's baby.

 

I feel her fan's pain. Looks like they're going beyond Finn in TLJ levels of de-emphasis with her which is a shame because just like with Finn it's not the actor's fault that the character wasn't received well.
Taking that and the covers into account, it looks like they've learned nothing from the promotion of TLJ.
