Well I have a bit of a back strain, but apart from that i'm fine.

So are you more entertained now?

(Welshguy..are you channeling me, Padawan? My back is a bit strained too!)

There..no more boredom.. my work here is done!

 

So how did you strain your back?

I did mine in (fine now by the way) with 9 hours of hard manual labour in the garden. Chopping, dragging, pulling etc.

But it looks pretty good now and we managed to fill 40 large garden refuse bags up of garden waste. Theres plenty more to do, but it can wait a couple of days.

 

Mine was moving beds. Now..pay attention...Don't EVER EVER get one of those American "Sleep Number" beds...basically air beds that have remote controls to make them harder or softer. All it does it make it just as hard and you either sink to the bottom or feel like your laying on a rock bubble. Nasty bugger.

So after straining my back moving the thing,(which I inherited) and then finding out it was a rock with a cover, it is now an ex-bed, it is no more, it has ceased to exist in my room and has been passed on to yet another poor unfortunate soul. Yet I think it has already travelled further than Master Yoda.

But, my back is better now...and ya know.. I need to set up my summer garden. So, you for hire?

 

Well i'm sure i'd earn a hell of a lot more doing gardening than I do with my current job.

However, there may be good news on that front. I applied for a new job the other day, in the Complaints and Litigation department of the NHS Trust.

Quite a bit more money and better prospects for promotion.

If I do hear anything (interview first), my manager said given the closing date, I should hear something in the middle of next week.

So fingers crossed!!! I'll be sure to let you guys know how this turns out. Though I have the feeling that I shouldn't have mentioned it. I made the mistake of telling a few people that I applied for this job and my parents now already have me working there. Which is going to be embarrising as hell when I don't even get the interview.

Regarding the bed. It sounds a lot like some kind of "Monkey's Hand" curse to me. Best be rid of the devil's matress and get yourself a decent, real bed. You can't beat them at the end of the day.

Well I got a letter from them yesterday saying "thanks, but no thanks".
