ST Kanjiklub (Tell that to them!) and/or Bala-Ti in Episode IX

Well? They can't get the money Solo owes them from him specifically but I wouldn't mind more telling that to Kanjiklub. Or Bala-Ti mostly because his last shot "Inform the First Order that the droid is aboard the Millennium Falcon!" seems like a bit of a "to be continued" type of dynamic framing.

But, yah tell that to Kanjiklub! In Episode IX!

 

They don't really have a connection to anything anymore. If they wanted to get revenge on Han, they obviously couldn't. I don't even think they knew he had possession of the Falcon in 7. Even if they went to track the falcon, they don't have ties to anyone but Chewie. They don't need BB8 anymore. It would be cool to see a cameo of them, especially if there is a final war against a bigger threat.

 

It'd be funny if years later they're STILL searching for BB-8 even though it clearly doesn't matter anymore

 

Kanjiklub is such a cringey name, sounds like a summer camp for kids with lots of plastic balls and washed-up light entertainment stars as hosts.
That whole scene was cringeworthy and I just couldn't take Bala-tik seriously. What planet is Scotland on anyway?

 

That sequel trilogy has been missing that element of Star Wars. The prequels had Jango and Young Boba, the orginals have Jabba and Boba, the sequel trilogy just has had a short visit by these guys.

 

Yah that's kind of why I hope they're back. Need more scum and villany in the ST!

 

Just make the FO defeat all the heroes. Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, all beaten and bloody. Then, suddenly, Bala Tik and his gang appear out of nowhere riding rathtars, catching Kylo and Hux off guard and eat them both. "That's for killing Solo."

 

sounds like an after-school club for kids who what to learn how to write in Japanese.

 

Sure, they weren't mentioned in the press release but hopefully they're coming back!

It’s fun. Saying Kanjiklub with a Scottish accent is fun.

Getting older and seeing aspects of Star Wars through the mind of an adult instead of being young still... less fun.

It’s Bala-Tik.

And I liked the guy. His youthful face drove home the idea that Han was losing out to a new generation of scoundrels. Had a “droogs beating up on an old man” edge to it. Brilliant minor casting.

 

You read my mind. It's a very cringey sounding name. It's even more cringey that it's pronounced "Kanji Club" but is written Kanjiklub which feels like a half baked attempt to make the word sound alien but totally fails to do so. But the worst part about it is that instead of sounding like a scary gang not to be messed with it sounds more like an after school club for kids that are really into manga. What's next? The Akiraklan?

 

"Tell that to Kanjiklub" is still the best line in all of Disney's Star Wars.

Love that scene. Bala-Tik being young, and Kanjiklub having such a youthful-sounding name, was deliberate I think. Pitting them starkly against Han, the old dinosaur has been.

The ST trilogy is definitely missing all the scum from the galaxy. What about that King Prawn that Solo was delivering the ranthars to for his private zoo . Maybe our heroes so desperate for help have to come to King Prawna for help. Lando helps arrange the meeting. Then the first order catches wind of the meeting snd begin raiding King Prawna's palace and accidentally releasing all the creatures and monsters in the zoo. New monsters and old ones like rancors and wompas. After laying waste to his place and wrecking hus collection King Prawna agrees to finance antone who fights against the first order including kinjiklub and the gevian death squad, maybe mandaloriams......maybe....

I'd happily have SW go to a planet of hyperviolent Indonesian martial arts fighters.

 

I’m more of a Fonzieklub kinda guy.
