ST Keri Russell (Zorri Bliss) in Episode IX

Eh, I’d be cool with her being a Knight of Ren, but having her be a villain in some other capacity would just feel tacked on. We had two villains with good potential killed off just throwing in another seems forced. There’s lots of characters already. Any new ones will need to fit seamlessly into the story and have a real purpose to drive the story. A place that couldn’t be filled by one of the characters already available or feel like a missed opportunity with a character that was killed off.

I clipped that story last June. Thank you JJ Abrams for tossing in a Mara Jade Russell is Rey's Mom theory for the next year and a half LOL.

Pretty tough to make considering her age.

 

Russell just turned 40 and Daisy is 26. She could totally be her Mom. Give or take four Hollywood years.

Her age would mean mom would be alive, not just shown in a flashback.

Not necessarily. Keri is 42, Rey is 19

 

Meaning she’d be alive. And I’ve yet to see a workable Reysky theory in which mom is alive.

 

The easiest story in the galaxy is being sold into slavery.

 

I just don't see any point to a living mother figure for Rey. That would eat up film time for limited return.

 

Or she's not a Skywalker at all. OMG please don't turn this into yet another Rey parentage thread.

What I'd love her to be: An assassin for Hux.

What she'll probably be: a new Resistance leader.

 

Weird they’re casting another major part to me. I doubt KR would be cast just to stand in the background. It seems like JJ should be focusing on the characters we’ve got. Oh well. Like with Laura Dern, I like her as an actress. I’ll put my vote in for her as a KoR. We need to some good KoR characters explored.

And let me put my vote in that she’s hopefully not another Resistance leader. I swear I’m going to bang my head against a wall if JJ gives us yet another pointless new character, which is all a new Resistance leader can possibly be.

 

Assassin or bounty hunter would be pretty awesome. I want her to be a baddie.

interesting....so since Luke and Leia are supposed to be around 53 in TFA and TLJ, this "Mara" character (and Keri Russel is 42 so it fits and gives credit to the rumour) is meant to be about a decade younger than the OT heroe, maybe a bit more if there's a significant timegap. Doesn't mean much but it means a character that was a child or a teenager during the fall of the empire and grew as an adult during the days of the New Republic.

"Caro" would have around the same age as Rey.....what about this child actor rumour? is it something credible or some reddit rumour?

 

Honestly, it would be funny if she was related to Rey just to see what happens (kidding, relax). It's the last Episode anyway. Mightaswell. Though honestly she could be anyone, and idk if I have enough energy to speculate because there's too many possibilities
