there hasn't been any word yet but i'm wondering if there'll be a scene where he wrestles a giant snake like in the original (1933) one

Love the original '33 Kong. One of the great action/adventure films of all time.

I enjoyed the new remake as well. Though I felt the film was overly long and could have been cut down by a good fifteen minutes. Still, the scenes on Skull Island and Kong's battle with the dinos were cinematic gold. I loved the animation of Kong and his performance by Andy Serkis.

Aww we really didn't need an EE of this. This movie needed to be at least half an hour shorter. Its not like LOTR where there is so much story to tell that is interesting and needs to be shown. 70 years ago they told the same story in half the time. Still it was pretty good and the action scenes were the best of 2005 (excluding ROTS which is a whole nother level of the atmosphere)

An extended edition? Bloody hell. Is it to be employed as torture?

I'm looking forward to the EE. I like the the theatrical, but the extras on that set sucked. I heard there's a lot more Skull Island stuff, so I'm looking forward to it. That was the most entertaining part of the film.

Love the movie just a much as the 30's original, and I still have a place in my heart for the '76 version.

I just thought the whole bug attack was unnecessary the way it was done. Some morally depraved computer geek came up with those worm/leech things eating that guys head.

    TOTALLY UNNECESSARY.

That thing popping out of the hole and snatching that guy who was falling was enough.

Totally agree. Seeing Andy Serkis' head sloooowly being swallowed by that worm was pretty revolting. As for the EE, if it's mostly Skull Island stuff I'll be getting the first day.

The movie is long enough as it is. Really the one we got now should be the EE
