JCC Gaming Koei Tecmo Discussion Thread

With Dynasty Warriors Mobile, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity having been announced recently, I think it's high-time that this underrated franchise have its own thread.

And yes, I do like Dynasty Warriors, especially since I was a kid. I still play the games, though I agree that Dynasty Warriors 9 had its fair share of problems (I still sunk 100 hours into it, at the very least). And, of course, Samurai Warriors 5 should be announced probably by the end of this year, or at least that's what my current hunch is telling me, one that I don't feel too strongly about either way. I also suspect that we'll be getting a new Warriors franchise, though for better or for worse, Koei Tecmo will likely make it yet another known IP rather than, say, have it based off of the Mongols, for example.

Tecmo Bo is the greatest video game athlete of all time.

 

I like Empires but DW9 was so garbage I can't possibly get excited for it. I'd rather just get 8 Empires or RotTK XIII on Switch.

 

I hope we at very least get a Ninja Gaiden this gen.
