So apparantly George Lucas's next project, "[link=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485985/]Red Tails[/link]," will be [link=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485985/locations]filming in Croatia[/link]. Anyone have an inside scoop on this?

They started filming in late March in a town called Draguc which will stand in for an Italian village.

 

That's very cool! Does that mean Lucas will visit Croatia?

This article says production will commence in May...other sources say they've already started filming since March, but that could refer to other locations.

 

This is big. Sort of. And it deserves it's own thread.

 

There are news on both him arriving to Croatia and news on not him not being there (only Anthony Hemingway)...
Oh well, at any rate it's pretty cool that one of his films will be shot here.

 

We should have a trip to Draguc, for the filming.
